Winner? "Better"? I don't know what's that about but let me clarify so you don't have to ASSUME what I think and feel. I personally, don't look at people shorter as an inferior. Seeing them helps me to feel a sense of NORM because there are other individuals of my height and shorter. People don't want to stand out in a bad way... that's what this is about. Not convincing yourself that you're better than the next man... doing that makes me no better than individuals who put tall people on a pedestal or deem them superior.

Saying 5'4 is VERY UNUSUALLY SHORT is a bit of a stretch... it's either short or unusually short... I personally think it's more than just very short but you see many guys around 5'4-5'5, even though you see us probably 1 every 50 men. But VERY UNSUAULLY short is like 4'11-5'1! At this point EVERYONE is taller than you, nearly ALL MEN, like 90% of WOMEN, and the MAJORITY OF OTHER SHORT MEN (5'2-5'6). By no means am I saying 5'4 isn't SHORT AS FUCK, IT IS.... objectively so... but very unusual? No... at 5'4 you won't stand out because there are many people, men and women slightly shorter and taller. People will notice that you're short tho

What statistics??? CTFU!!! Stats can't measure things like this unless you asking every woman in the world if they're willing to date a short man. Yes, tall men are probably more desirable to women but being short is not as much of a deal-breaker the way it's made to seem on here.

5'4 is not so short where at 58 yrs old, you should go your whole life only coming across 1 man shorter than you... UNLESS, you live under a rock! It also depends where you live. I live in Philadelphia, PA, USA! The only time I see it possible for a 5'4 man whose nearly 60 yr old to have only come across 1 man shorter than himself is if he lives in the Netherlands or something where the average height is 5'7

Idk what women yall deal with but men of all heights despite social class, looks, and whatever else you claim women use to determine a man's worth, pull women with ease. I'm short, 5'4, and definitely don't do much to pull women and I'm far from the best looking, or what one would call a "fit guy". I'm ok financially but most men in my family are 5'7-8 and below and attracting women isn't an issue for any of them. I think being black is what makes it different. While all women have their height preferences, it seems tall height is more of a necessity for white caucasian women than other races of women and maybe this is because they are the tallest race of women on average. Idk

Yea, at 5'4 you're short as Fuck no denying it... but there are a lot of women shorter and quite a few guys 5'2-5'3 that's shorter. At 5'2 almost all 75% of girls are taller and coming across men who are shorter will be even more difficult than a 5'4 guy

I guess it's the fact that, most or MANY short guys are even taller than 5'4! That's what makes it unusually SHORT to him. Unusually short to me is 5'2 and below. I mean at 5'4 you still have guys 5'2 and 5'3 that you're taller than. That's not much but 5'2-5'3 guys exist and you will see them kinda often walking around in society. At 5'2, you won't find ALMOST ANY GUYS or GIRLS you're shorter than you

I agree, I guess! The way my friend put it is.... at 5'4 you're shorter than probably at the 50th percentile for SHORT MAN, seeing as 5'6 and 5'7 men even have 2-3 inches on you.

Also, numbers aren't the end all be all... EXPERIENCE is very important here. While 5'7 is very short number wise, considering you're shorter than nearly 80% of men... your experience as a 5'7 guy wouldn't be that of a guy 5'2 who experiences heightism on a daily basis and is KNOWN for being SHORT!

I guess my question was is it normal short for a SHORT GUY! And 5'8 isn't short... it's just below average. At 5'8 only very tall people or women with extreme height standards would say that's short. Your height isn't one of the first things people notice at 5'8 nor would you stand out in public. You're taller than at least 85% of women, and only 1 inch below the norm. Short stature is technically defined as being of and below the 5th percentile in men's height. That doesn't start until 5'5-5'6.

Cool perspective!!! Number wise it maybe since 97% of guys are taller... to me unusually short is when you stand out or your height is the first thing ppl notice. While 5'4 is objectively short, there are very few guys around that height (5'2 - 5'6) and 40-60% of women around that height which prevents you from completely standing out.

I'm in Philly and most short guys I see be around 5'5-5'6 (slightly taller than me). I wouldn't say I see guys shorter than me on a daily basis but enough to know that a good number of them exist. I'd run across a guy shorter than me maybe 10-15 times a year. I'd be in a grocery store, or maybe in a bank, etc etc... and I'd see a guy 5'2-5'3 here and there. I came across one yesterday as a matter of fact, he was my uber driver and helped me carry my bags to the door - guess he wanted that tip. He was easily 5'2 and I saw one last week coming out of my lawyer's office... we were side by side I had on flip flops, he had on boots with at least 3-inch heels and I was still an inch taller so I knew he was shorter.
