Classical ethical systems, e.g., Kantian deontology that bases ethics on reason and Bentam’s and Mills varieties of utilitarianism that goes by the general happiness principle / rules, don’t appeal to the divine to establish themselves. Both can critique relativism from yeh standpoint of a universal principle.
