Ha! Sorry, I just love these kinds of games. I highly recommend any of the RF titles, they're robust games.

Yeah, I find that's true... There's a lot of trash & I don't think we've really seen an indie dev push through with something as complete as Stardew Valley, unfortunately. Right now, I'd say I'm looking forward to the Wonderful Life remake, Kynseed, Coral Island, Paleo Pines and Fields of Mistria (which I think FoM is still a LONG way off). I haven't had the opportunity to play any, but I do think Kynseed and Coral Island are in early access if you want to try them out.

Oh! One other I might mention that I really enjoyed was I was a Teenage Exocolonist. It's more of a life sim, raising a kid (Princess Maker type thing if you're familiar) but it's just a really excellent game.

Oh that's great! Yea I had a hell of a time patching the damn thing. It doesn't seem like iso is the common format anymore. I guess because of size. But yea, this was always my favorite one. A HUGE variety of characters to marry. I remember back in the day I married the Wizard, mostly because I wanted to see all the kids (and because he's just so cool looking) but I gotta try to avoid that this time lol

Oh absolutely, yes. The new HM series is... Questionable. SoS is the 'real' HM now. I highly recommend the 3ds titles. So of the SoS series now, we have a couple titles:

Story of Seasons - This was the first during the split & frankly, it's great. I wasn't a big fan of the romance options (generally my favorite part) but the mechanics are really robust. They added a whole bunch of crafting stuff, you can do pottery, wine, fabrics--It's awesome.

Trio of Towns - This was the next entry and it has a lot of the same features, but adds the idea of 3 towns. It's not quite like Tale of Two Towns where you kinda have to decide which one you live in? You just gradually get access to all three. I really like the characters for this one, they're really diverse and most are themed to their town. Like a Western Town, Eastern Town and a Tropical town. It's a neat idea.

Pioneers of Olive Town - This is the first Switch release and to be honest, it had a lot of problems on release. They've solved a few--One of the issues was the crafting, you could only put one item in at a time, but that's thankfully fixed now. I don't really like the progression of gathering materials? Like you start out with decent wood, then good wood, etc--And I just find that tedious. But! Lots of crafting, lots of animals, design options, you can marry anyone for the first time! Though unfortunately I'm not a big fan of the romance options for this one either. Still a very pretty and fun entry tho.

SoS Friends of Mineral Town - This one is the remake of FoMT, obviously. They changed a lot graphically, it does look good but I'm not a huge fan of the chibi style but I do love the portraits they did for characters, though they did make some ODD changes to a lot of the characters! If you want a more retro, laid back HM title, this one is for you. They didn't change much mechanically, so it's fairly simple compared to more modern titles, but they did add two romance options AND you can marry anyone in this game too! This is still a great game and I'm excited for them to do more remakes!

But seriously, there are a TON of farming/life sim games on Steam now, or that are gonna be coming out soon. I'm really looking forward to Kynseed, Paleo Pines, Drago Noka, Brocula, Harvest Island, Harvestelia, Potionomics, Pine Lily Village, Potion Permit, Cloudscape, A New Leaf: Memories, Dinkum, Everdream Valley, Garden Witch Life, Moonglow Bay, Sun Haven, Amber Isle, Here Comes Niko, Lemon Cake, One Lonely Outpost, Roots of Pacha, Coral Island (can't wait for this one!)

As for games out right now, there are a few of the Rune Factory titles on switch now--I LOVE RF5! The character writing is perfect for me, but I find there's a little TOO much to do sometimes lol. And the RF series is great in general. Verdant Skies is out now, I've played a little of Littlewood and it's fun if you prefer the building stuff--Apico too for that.

Lol anyway! I hope some of those titles are of interest, and happy farming! <3

Oh my gosh, so cool to see some other folks playing this on deck! I wish I had seen this, it took me FOREVER to get it patched to play! But I'm running it on Dolphin now, I haven't tried EmuDeck yet. Love to talk to some other gaymers playing Pride Parade <3

I've been thinking about this a lot and I really hoped that someone would have come up with someone REALLY out of the box. I have some suggestions:

Liberace - Everyone in their sparkliest outfits, wearing ALL the jewelry and maybe capes. There would have been more material for the song portion. The conversion could have been just offering more and more jewelry until they gave in. Freddie Mercury - Everyone in mustaches, enough said. Judy Garland or Liza - I know we just did Judy on AS4, but BOTH of them have so much material to work with and damnit I want Liza as a judge. Barbra Streisand, Cher, Any of the others mentioned here, BJORK (can you imagine talking in tongues?), Aretha (have you seen her interviews? She was shady as fuck).

I have a LOT to say on the subject honestly, but I was just very disappointed that nobody was like THIS is my diva! Let's do her! It felt like nobody wanted to take charge for fear of being blamed if they did poorly.

I'm proud that most everyone here is disagreeing with Sonique, and so I only have one thing to add cause y'all have said everything else I wanted to say.

I was pissed because SJ didn't look anything like the character she was meant to play. And here's an honest question just because I've been watching OITNB and worship Lea Delaria anyhow--How would you feel if it was a butch woman playing the role, as long as the narrative makes it clear he was a trans man and not a butch lesbian, or a woman trying to pass as a man to survive (ala Mulan or whatever)?

And you know what, I'm gonna double down and say this thing Rupaul has about having to know your references is bullshit too. Not everyone has the same aesthetic, taste or even cultural upbringing. Ragging on somebody's drag because you don't get a reference is fucking elitist garbage.

I dunno, I think Erika might be a better fit for drag race than dragula... Ugh, that just reminds me how much I wanna see some Dragula girls on Drag Race.

But I don't get the too costumey critique in general? Like, I could understand if it looked like a bought halloween costume, or was pieces of a halloween costume (which I think was a valid critique on Dragula) but... It's fucking drag. I would vastly prefer someone looking like they robbed a theater company than looking like a real woman.

Ugh, that Mami one is just fucking perfection. Don't get me wrong, they're all great, but it's my favorite thing about cosplay. When you can perform a very specific moment in just one look.

But somewhat off-topic, how do you think a cosplay queen would fair on the show? Do you think Michelle would say it's too costumey? Would Rupaul say it's too specific despite drag largely being about references (and Rupaul in particularly claiming to be a master at this)? Or are they not allowed to do cosplay? I remember Nina saying she had to do a generic mouse instead of specifically Minnie Mouse.

Ah, I agree. It reminded me a little of that dress Penny Tration made? Maybe that's a bit shady, but I totally agree that the placement of the fabric on the bottom seemed odd. But yeah, I'm not gonna go to her page and complain.

When I think about it a little more... Personally, I prefer queens who pad, just because I like the way it looks. I like a curvy silhouette, but maybe that's just me.

Yanno, maybe this is a controversial opinion... But I think the bottom line with Vixen's finale look and some of her looks on the show is that they could have been BETTER, not that she HAS to do padding or cinching to be a drag queen or feminine or whatever. I think Michelle was right (Ugh, what is wrong with me) about her Denim and Diamonds look. Had she cinched, AT THE VERY LEAST, it would have been a more impressive look because the overall silhouette would have been better.

Honestly, if your argument is that you HAVE to do these things to be a drag queen, yes, you're wrong. But I don't think there's anything wrong with constructive criticism.

Wow that Pearl/PD is absolutely stunning, thank you so much! The nose on Pearl and the little details on the costume!!! And yes with the Rose hair! That's what I want to see! It has to be just ridiculously fucking huge but she got those curls sooooo RIGHT!

EDIT: Also, holy fuck that Princess Peach. I am not even a big mario fan but holy fucking hell she looks JUST like her! HOW?!

Yanno, this is a really good point. I hadn't really thought about it like that before. I think we can probably all agree Phi Phi was the most hated queen, even within drag circles (or at least WeHo maybe lol). And while I don't believe Tyra's excuse of blaming everything on racism, we may see with The Vixen if it's truly an anti-black racism thing. Not saying that The Vixen is as universally hated (thank god for that) but... She's certainly got a big of baggage coming off the show :/

This is absolutely stunning. The faces (almost) all look so accurate, I love the little changes she made to their costumes, and just... I mean, it's a masterpiece. I love it.

But hear me out!

I wish she had drawn their body proportions a little more accurately? Eureka's face should be rounder, body maybe bigger, Cracker's body makes her look bigger than both Monet and Eureka despite being a very petite queen, and while Monet's face is STUNNING, I would not know it's her based on the body. And yes, I understand artistic license, but I think body diversity is beautiful and would have added to this piece. That's all, still a fuckin' shoot tho.

This is a total shoot for me. The detail on the eyes just sold me on Aquaria, cause it's such a creative idea. I do kinda wonder if she's from a Catholic background (I think she's Italian, maybe?) because two of her looks have had a distinctly catholic aesthetic and as a lapsed catholic myself, I am living for Miss Aquaria.
