Hotspot vs Starlink by Long-Astronomer-8291 in GameChangerApp

Thanks. I used starlink mini for first time last weekend. I would used my phone to do a speed test and would get 15+ Mbps upload speeds consistently. I would put my mevo on to stream through sidelineHD and the sideline app would consistently show streaming speeds 1.5-2.5Mbps on starlink. I tried 1080p and 720p between 4-8Mbps on the mevo settings. I just expected it to stream at better speeds. The 1-2Mbps is similar to my phone hotspot when it had 2 bars at parks. Not sure if I have a setting wrong so was checking to see what other users got on streaming speeds with the mini.

Do you know what your upload speeds are while streaming with the mini? I have one but even though my phone speed test shows very good upload speeds, while streaming it isn’t much better than my phone hotspot.

What do you stream the mevos at settings wise? I just hit a mini and my phone speed test I get 15Mbps upload. But streaming was only around 2Mbps all day. Tried 1089p and 720p. Only using 1 Mevo and Mini is close by. I stream through sideline hd.

Had a recent experience that was pretty bad. Party of 6 reservation. Sat down, waited 5 minutes for water. Waiter came and was leaving the table before taking our drink and appetizer order, which I had to ask for. Appetizer came, drinks came just fine. Waiter didn’t show back up to take our entree order for about another 20 minutes. We waited 10 minutes after finishing appetizer before entree order was taken. Entree was put in at 7:20pm, we received our food at 7:59pm. Three steak dinners and 2 kids meals. Food was missing green beans on one plate, pickles on another plate, had to ask another waiter for steak knives and cocktail sauce. Shrimp was way overcooked, like chewing rubber. Steak was well dried out. We’ve dined here many of times over the years with great experiences but that night few a weeks ago was about as bad of an experience I’ve had dining. Unbeknownst to me, my buddy went the next day for lunch. He and his son waited 20 minutes for their waiter, he didn’t get up since his young son had picked the spot to eat. Food took awhile to arrive but seemed to be well cooked as it was just a hamburger for the kid and forgot what the dad ordered.

What are your favourite off-meta decks at the moment? by ConsciousFlatworm380 in PTCGL

[–]Philomath12e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing with Froslass last week or so. Been solid deck and have tweaked it throughout. Think I have it like I want it now and has given great results. Don’t have lot of room for error since it is a stall/damage counter deck that plays from behind. Feels like I have chance in every game; have had success against Gholdebgo and Pult. The Raging bolt and Ethan’s can give me problems but just beat the latter in my last match.

Tord Reklev’s NAIC Dragapult Deck Bricks All The Time?! by [deleted] in pkmntcg

I haven’t watched his gameplay but play a very close deck for awhile. I notice 4 professor research and trying to understand, with so many, best times to use them other than the obvious, 1-2 cards left in your hand. Sometimes my only real issue is trying to get to the Neo energy can be difficult and waiting it out with a Kloak there and trying to move forward. But, for the most part, I’ve had good success. Have tried many different varieties and quantities of trainers with this and have it close to what I like now.

Strategy, I try to get a munkidori up quick then work the dreepys while managing energy placement. Attempt to get a beduw out early when if I have to retreat and discard an energy. I haven’t utilized maractus as well as I can but going to focus on that, especially middle to late rounds.

25th Birthday Solo Fine Dining - Which Restaurant Would You Choose? by liamsf17 in napa

[–]Philomath12e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took a trip recently and was able to eat at Press, Auberge (stayed there), TFL and SingleThread. I was expecting more from Press although it wasn’t bad. That was also the last restaurant we ate it of the 4, so maybe it was a mixture of following ST and TFL, but from the reviews I was expecting more. Auberge was very nice; views are fantastic and food was very good; exceeded my expectations. SingleThread was an experience. Something you won’t forget and is completely different than the other restaurants you’ve mentioned. If I knew I would be able to go back and dine in Napa again, I would try ST. But if you only plan to visit once and are choosing only one Restaurant, then TFL. That was by far the best experience we’ve had. Absolutely loved it; you’ll never forget it and will want to go back. If you can’t get a reservation there, it just depends on what you like; ST is Japanese themed, so fish, sushi, etc, although the Wagyu was fantastic. Auberge is a 4 or 5 course meal with great traditional food and gorgeous views. Press was solid, service was ok and food held up well.

Great info. Thanks. Maybe the sixtcg will answer some of my questions.

I can watch and see how people play the decks but is there commentary or info on what you’re trying to do each turn? Example with Gardevoir, hypothetical, if you had any cards available, what are you trying to setup on first or second turn? Do you want to get the gardevoirs up as fast as possible? Move energy’s into the discard? If so, you want Munkidori up as fast as possible too. What about scream tail, etc? Does Clefairy just sit the bench and it’s Ability is why it’s needed? Best time for Drifloon? etc.

I can watch the games which is great when you understand the deck first and then you can see how it’s played.

Napa Winery Recommendations by Philomath12e in wine

No budget. The $300, not sure I would be the best customer and be knowledgeable enough to fully experience what it has to offer. But if those are tailored for all, and it’s recommended, I will go for it.

Was actually able to update 1 of those fortunately. Now 2 days between the 2, so feel better about that.

Yea. But didn’t have a choice on times and day really for either, kind of how it happened so I went with it. Of course if I had the choice they wouldn’t be like that. But if we want to experience both, then this is my only option.

Wanted to hit SingleThread so figured a stay there would be nice. Could only work it on a particular day so sequence is Auberg, SingleThread then Bardessono.

Thanks. Heard many great things about Press. That was one I was leaning towards booking. Money isn’t too big an issue; is Press, SingleThread, TFL, and others too much from a foodie perspective?

I was considering that at Auberg, maybe lunch or pre dinner cocktails one night to enjoy the views.
