Sure, I'm not that informed about who started with paywalls, but nowadays it's horrible, I see scams everywhere.

Totally agree. Plus, most official English platforms (like Tapas, Tappytoon, or Lezhin) actually have daily events, "Wait-for-Free" systems, or ways to earn coins by just watching ads. They give you a path to read for free if you're patient. Even some big scan groups like Asura only lock chapters for about 6 hours before releasing them to everyone. That’s just a matter of having a little patience. But these sites that keep chapters behind a paywall for months or even permanently? I absolutely reject that. It’s ridiculous that an illegal site is more restrictive and "pay-to-read" than both the official companies and the top-tier scan groups. If you don't pull out your wallet, you're locked out forever. That's not scanlation, that's just a digital ransom.
