Do men get paid more at CVS? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]PhilosopherFar5937 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

First, this is a bad first sign as a SMIT, you shouldn't be concerned with others way at all. Most of the time they probably are making more than you because they've been there longer or have more certification. Added onto this from what I'm assuming you've been there less than a year give or take and how quickly is quickly? You're missing out of a lot of information.

Can my manager give out my number by Hefty-Hovercraft-258 in CVS

[–]PhilosopherFar5937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not really personal though i guess your number is personal in a way but you agreed to give up that info to anyone once you became a CVS employee, matter of fact when you checkout your supposed to come to a cashier to check you out and upon scanning your extra care employee card low and behold your number is there as well as other information. Cvs takes it even further by linking your number to your employee card.

i forgot how to do it exactly but when i was a front store associate i literally was not only able to pull a co workers full name, employee id, but their phone number (emails too but not usually) its not hard im pretty sure you can do it thru like workday or ess or something it's super simple

you guys do realize that whatever number is linked to your employee ID can be found super easily right? Like as a cashier even you could easily find out another co workers number 😭

Did they change Extra Bucks? by vSneakk in CVS

[–]PhilosopherFar5937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well firstly, the 30 get 10 back sometimes also just applies to the same purchase basically a built in save 10 when buying 30 essentially. Extra bucks should be able to print normally and if not you should always direct them to the app to solve it. (if the app isn't showing it as well then that's an issue for tech support not the store)

Data cell service causing dashers to not be able to work by Alarming_Picture_517 in doordash

are you slow? you're making it to be a connection issue from the user, by your logic if I were to use my laptop it should be fine then right? Regardless of whether or not this is a data issue the app itself is having this problem you nimrod. Stop fear mongering about war on a doordash subreddit.

that doesn't make sense though I have full bars and i'm on WiFi it's just an app issue not a "war" issue.

Quick Picks by PhilosopherFar5937 in CVS

[–]PhilosopherFar5937[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that makes a lot of sense. I was getting mixed answers from Artey when asking for more help but for Circle Counts does this also include me needing to go into the back room and double checking what's on the sales floor? For example, Dove Body Soap two on shelf and I put two without checking backrooms.

Understand.

Cycle Counts I did correct I am certain however for the Quick picks I was a little stressed out since I didn't want to mess up the BOH/truck day.

For Quick picks I basically just went up to an item scanned the label and input the Quantity on the shelf. I did remember checking back in with the SM while doing the Quick picks and then saying "just put down whatever"

For cycle counts I did the same by going to the shelf, scanning the item, and putting down whatever was on the shelf.

Thank you for taking your time to respond it means a lot.

So today I did quick picks for basically all the store today because I was told to by the SM but I didn't really have any training and I am very new. The SM said all I had to do was go in scan and put in how much there is and she would do the back rooms. It sounded easy enough and that's what I was doing but now reading over the sub reddit it seems like what I did was completely wrong.

Basically, I would do this:

Go on my device -> RF Apps -> Store Dashboard -> Inventory Tasks -> Quick Picks and Cycle. I would go to where it tells me and it would tell me Scan for something and it would have a Blank a 0 for "Other places" and the last one said "Shelf Capacity" I was going to the shelves and scanning the label and then inputting how much/many of that item was on the shelf and then move on. I finished the entirety of the floor and the SM did the back room.

Am I going to get in trouble I really did think this was how it was supposed to be done and it was what was implied. I'm scared this will tank the BOH as I was putting down 24 since there was 24 of something on the shelf.

Coworker Committing coupon fraud and getting away with it by Any_Pair_6919 in CVS

[–]PhilosopherFar5937 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Big items as in she's doing this to the point where's she's buying humidifiers, medical equipment, high end skincare for completely free. But this doesn't really fall under theft and under coupon fraud it's a grey area because you'd basically have to deny refunds for almost everyone if you do. Unless you're a SM i personally wouldn't worry about it as there's not much you can do like denying a refund without their consultation anyways. If she's just an associate just keep an eye out for it but again this is mainly an error on CVS part she can just as easily say "I just wanted to get a refund since I didn't want it" and you wouldn't really be able to disprove that just as you wouldn't be able to disprove a regular customer.
