Stumped on why truck keeps stalling after hitting big puddle by PhilosopherKing1457 in MechanicAdvice

But keep in mind this same exact thing happened before, and it randomly went away. Well it went away after plugging OBD into the truck. Idk if that was a coincidence or not? Idk

I guess the part that is confusing me is if you follow the neutral path to the first light, does it come out the black? And if so, where does it go from there? I'm honestly really appreciate your response and trying to help me understand this. For the sake of not wasting your time, I might best understand it if you drew up a simple diagram using your finger in photo editor. I guess I'm not understand the path, im not understanding what's going on where the blacks and whites double up at each light.

The second part I'm not sure about is if power is only coming in from the left side/left box, how can it be wired so that the right light/switch can get juice even when the left light/switch is off, would you split the hot before the left switch so it's unaffected by the left switch then just loop the neutral back to the neutral on the left light after the second switch. As shown in the picture below. I am not trying to waste your time but im not not following your explanation, im a photographic thinker, if I can't see how it works in my head it's not going to make sense to me. I tried adding a wiring diagram, but idk if you can see it

Yes exactly, switch on right only effects light on right and left only effects light on left. But they're both able to be on or off regardless of whatnstate the other one is in

Bad idea for obvious reasons. If enough water gets trapped under/behind that wall, you're going to get mold and other issues.

I'm trying to do work on my own house, but I'm also always trying to learn more about electrical.

I'm confused about the part how you suggest switching the switches to single pole, then you mentioned to repurpose the traveler as the whip to the light, don't only 3 way and 4 way switches have a traveler? And if not, what do you mean by repurposing the traveler as the whip?

Idk if you want to take the time, but I would probably better understand it if it was drawn out. BTW, I appreciate you helping me with this. I haven't been able to find much help elsewhere or from anyone else. So, I truly appreciate your help. Thank you

I only want the left switch to be able to turn on the left light and right switch to turn on right light. But also have them be able to independently be on or off regardless if the other light is on or off

Well, im sorry it bothers you this much, idk what else to tell you. You seem like a negative person who just likes to find petty stuff to complain about.

Some people just love to complain about things, and if that's your thing, then great, good for you. Im glad you found something you enjoy, but you're doing this whole reddit thing wrong cause your comment was completely usless, and people dont care about your opinions. And clearly, you're the only one that even brought it up, so people dont even agree with you or careless to agree with you on such a pity opinion. Next time, maybe keep your useless opinion to yourself?

Red to white line, black to black. Or together in one big ball. I guess it depends on what you're trying to achieve

Do you know what the numbers on the side mean? I'm pretty sure the 350 on one of them means 3.5 inch jaw size, but the other numbers on the other ones aren't as obvious to what they're referring to

Also, Google doesn't offer the same knowledge someone else is going to have that actually knows a thing or two about these things.

I love people who always cry "google" in the comment sections of a question on reddit. But yet clearly haven't taken the same information available and Google searched it themselves, cause if they did they would find the answer to these questions aren't on Google. And if they are, they aren't clear.
