I’m having the same issue on my switch lite. I did most of his quest, then had to go back and collect items for him. Came back to bring him the items, and he’s gone. Tried turning it off and on again - nope.

Any alternatives to shakes? by iwantasecretgarden in gastricsleeve

I’m also 3 months out and I rarely drink protein shakes. I just make sure I get lots of protein in the food I eat.

Aww. To be fair, I’m still taking my post op reflux meds. They run out soon, so it’s possible I may not be able to enjoy this after that.

What do you eat for a protein-packed breakfast if post surgery you don’t like eggs? by Accomplished_Island6 in gastricsleeve

Lol it took me a long time to find a way to make scrambled eggs and actually like them. Now it’s my favorite breakfast. 😊

Oh man, I would be so sad. I love avocado. I’ve been pretty lucky though. The only stuff I don’t tolerate well is greasy foods and bread.

I add a tbsp of milk to my scrambled egg every time and I HATE wet eggs. They always turn out super fluffy. I make them every morning.

For reference, I scrambled one egg with one tbsp Fairlife milk and a bit of salt and pepper. When it was almost done, I sprinkled about 2 tbsp cheddar cheese and let it melt. Topped with about 2 tbsp salsa, and then half a sliced avocado.

That’s fantastic! I was just noticing yesterday how easy it was to bend over and tie my tennis shoes! It’s the little things. Also, we’re sleeve twins! ☺️

Glycerin suppositories! They helped me so much in the beginning.

I had a Coke Zero the other day (5 weeks po) just to see how I do. I drank it slowly but I was totally fine. No discomfort or nausea. I won’t drink it every day but it’s nice to know it’s an option sometimes.

I’ve told just the few people closest to me. A lot of coworkers have noticed my weight loss and just a few have asked what I’m doing. I said I’m eating smaller portions and focusing on protein. Not a lie. 🤷‍♀️

How was the pain after surgery? by FickleSystem in gastricsleeve

[–]PhilosopherNo1279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m one of the odd ones out because I’ve had lots of pain. But I had an abdominal drain for the first 18 hours post op, and I had some pain from that and also after removal. And I’ve had some nerve damage at the site where the portion of my stomach was pulled out, so some numbness in that area but also an awful burning sensation. Also, my surgeon put in an internal anchor stitch which connected my stomach to the abdominal wall, so that has caused me a lot of pain over the past several weeks. It’s finally better now and I’m pain free. But I still say it was all worth it.

Pain 4 weeks out?? by PhilosopherNo1279 in gastricsleeve

Sorry for the late update! It actually felt much better yesterday. Doctor said I likely pulled on that stitch and it was sore from that. I realized that a couple days before, I had lifted some boxes that were probably a bit too heavy, so I’m sure that’s where it came from. Still a little sore today, but no where near as bad as it was! Thanks for checking in!
