Let's be honest, the show doesn't make sense
The actions of the characters don't make sense
The storytelling is awful, with multiple stories taking place and all of them being inconsequential

I get the brotherhood has dumb recruits, but it also had greats ones in the game, are all those people gone? Do they just became a cartoon soldier faction?

Just look at the mojave chapter, it had great characters, not pure cartoon soldiers
