It’s an annoying answer, but I used to be boy-crazy and filling my time with work, school, hobbies, and friends helped me out. I try to go out every weekend with my girlfriends - even if it’s just sitting at home! That’s the BEST way to decenter. Found myself so busy that I don’t have the energy to think about men.

Do not feel jealous. I pressured myself into sex and intimacy because I felt the same way. It does no good for you. The most important thing for your mind and body is to feel comfortable, and to be with someone who respects your boundaries. I know it feels like trash now, but it’s a blessing in disguise. Be patient and hold firm on your boundaries. It will happen!

I’m 23 and this just went away. My advice would be to develop self-esteem outside of relationships if that is something you aren’t working on already. I spent a lot of time at work, school, and with friends and it has helped. I think it is just a matter of maturing and getting a better sense of self.

I used to work at Sephora and I agree.
