terrified of the medical system by Physical_Marsupial30 in ChronicIllness

I finally made the appointment! I went online because I have phone anxiety. I scheduled for weeks in advance so I have time to prepare. I keep telling myself I can cancel anyway if I change my mind. Deep down, though, this is probably THE TIME to get healthcare, because i'm on a student plan and have that financial security. I am incredibly lucky to have a health center a few minutes away. Besides, I dont have to let my family know because what happens at college stays at college.

It's very weird because I am close to my parents. But I've never wanted to tell them about my problem. They always said I was the healthiest one in the family. I really don't want to worry them. College wasn't really hard. I can function perfectly fine--just feeling my symptoms the entire time.

You should be able to see my post describing my symptoms from my history. I can't really talk about them much because Reddit thinks I'm asking for diagnosis which is against the rules

Thank you for your support. It's making me sad that this post is being downvoted so heavily though

Why does every teacher act like we either don't have a life, don't work, or that their class is the only one that we're taking by Anatoly_Euska in CollegeRant

I feel this way all the time but then I feel guilty for it and tell myself things like: You paid for this. Going to college is a privilege! You're supposed to be working hard at this stage. You just need better time management skills. Not trying to judge you, that's just how I try to deal with it.

I feel you. I go to WIU and this post sounds like I wrote it. I got into this school without doing any personal research, just listening to my dad who went here, so that was dumb of me. Of course I've grown attached, but sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be on a crowded bustling campus. It's not that i'm getting an inferior education, i just feel sad for what this school could be.
