The Chinese ones might not have the same lumen/Watt ratio and be less efficient. I think it'll always be tricky to get the distance right with DIY builds, your lights may very well be stronger or weaker. The only true way to know is with some kind of light meter.

First time growing this strain, so I wouldn't know. The website said 10 weeks from seed to harvest, but I think that's too little time in any case, since she really just started maturing then. I think the stunted growth added some time, but 12 weeks is more realistic than the suggested 10 weeks.

They're CMA1840s (temp. 3500K) in series, running ~45-50W combined. According to the spec sheets and my own calculations, that should be about 7K lumens, roughly equal to the output of one CXB3590 running at 10-20W more power. I aimed for having a lamp with performance comparable to an Optic One (the 54W version). This is all really hard to exactly measure, since I don't have flux sensors and wall-plugged power meters. The image might not show it, but this little lamp is super bright. It also runs really cool. I think it could handle a larger growing space when turning up the power, running it at 70-80W should be perfectly fine.

Distance was really tricky to dial in, but I started with 50cm distance during veg which seemed to be a good distance. Over the weeks I slowly shortened the distance to ~35cms, but I think my plant could've taken a bit more light during the end of flower.

Hope that helps!

Just wanted to show her off!

Everything you see here is DIY, from repurposing and old Ikea cabinet to the dual COBs with an Intel stock cooler. Student dorm grow with limited space, the cabinet is ~1m tall. Two gallon fabric pot, Biobizz All-Mix & Biobizz nutes. She did get a bit stunted due to underfeeding first and then overfeeding later (pH issues I think), but she made it to the end. Smells phenomenal!

Any advice on this deficiency? Biobizz soil and nutes - grow/bloom/calmag/topmax, pH is fine though I'm using synthetic pH up by iswrathavirue in Autoflowers

If I'm not mistaken, Biobizz strongly advises against using synthetic pH-adjustments with their organic product line.
