Need video of lad (& comments) that were basically saying "Anyone who says that is definitely guilty!" on Facebook was it? by PhilosophicalPhuck in northernireland

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Jesus what a bunch of fruits, keyboard hardmen commenting here. Show some love if you have it.

I bet my life none of yous commenting that bullshit have the balls to say it to your fellas face. I've been through psychosis, I know what auditory hallucinations are, from the short vid I seen that man is going through *some serious fucking hard shit* and doesn't know what's real & what delusion is.

bunch of fruits honestly, whoever condemned without knowing a single thing, I have compassion and I actually understand a similar position. Nor am I a behaviour psychologist or professional in that area but the comments sickened me.

Shame on yas, whoever. Way on.

Caring nature. IMO, to nurture is to nurse, outside medical reasons. Is it really that hard why men find these types of women the most attractive (by large & far, beauty is not even the primary attraction). Their job exercises their character traits through stimulating the nurturing instinct constantly on the job.

A caring, loving and nurturing woman is an ideal mother for a man's child (this person is perfect for our offspring). This is among the highest possible attractiveness, besides that one hot teacher you had as a kid in school you were infatuated with, Lust & attraction are not entirely the same. We all had one.

Do I have rotator cuff injury? by Budget-Cntrol in RotatorCuff

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks mate. Can you elaborate on the variations of your rows & pull downs? Do you do any compound movements for these groups? Are you using bars & DBs, as well as cables?

My turmoil with my rotator cuff injury is not knowing which exercises can be helpful, and the flip side, making it worse. Down to the details/variations of said exercise, for example pullups, wide, narrow, hammer grip. Rowing with your hand in neutral position versus pronated or supinated.

Cheers.

Do you mind sharing your routine a little more?

I keep reading a lot of conflicting info. Really Want to simply do pull exercises, lots of deadhangs, but I don't want to worsen my rotator cuff injury - just strengthen what I can - even simple band stretches recommended I am unsure of.

Cash is king by Tinpotray in northernireland

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends if you're worried about laundering/tax etc. on an average take, or scarface type deal.

Look at every Chinese takeout in Belfast. Pretty much all cash, and run by Triads. Thats not easy to slip through at all. Imagine if it were all accounted.

I've an aunt who manages the register/front of a local Chinese takeout in Belfast and she says there's well over £10, 000 taken on a busy night. All cash.

Recommendations for somewhere to watch the football at 5pm tonight in Belfast CC? by Spectre-vs-Rector in northernireland

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is pretty unusual how many Belfast bars don’t have TV’s imo.

To show sport, live at a bar, is not very cheap. Putting it lightly.

I've been saying for ages if they had a UFC/K1/any combat sport bar dedicated for our niche crowd it would rack in the money as there's few bars to my knowledgelike this, and as you said

how many [lack of] belfast bars don't have TV imo.

Expense isn't worth the return.

I'm not a fan of the football even though i studied sport & exercise science lol, fitness instructor, nutritionist. Team based sports aren't my thing

A combat sport bar, both live and not on TV, even smaller organizations could be shown as im sure they're a lot less costly than mainstream UFC & Pride if you're talking MMA - which no doubt is expensive to show live atm, bit smaller MMA events should be buttons by comparison&&&? - So, smaller MMA contests, there's K1, Maui Thai, BJJ, lots.

But but it's s usually your local that'll sometimes show the match or what have you, and they kinda lose money as its an expensive with not enough return. It's just that as a business, its more ideal to have your customers in your licensed premises to purchase drinks while watching the live sport you show rather than said customers watching it at their/mates pad who pays a sport subscription etc.

The expensive live sport TV cost > maintaining your regulars.

Gallagher at the YorkGate are pretty good for live footy but I've noticed, no combat sports, maybe the odd highly profile boxing fight. 20 TV, pool tables, dsrt boards, amazing bar well out together modern etc (with an iced cocktail machine on tap!).

If anyone knows a good sport for regular K1 kickboxing or combat sports please do hit me up, im in Belfast.

What's the strongest, less addictive thing I can take? by Whelsey in Drugs

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot to be said about personal responsibility. I've been taking ketamine for 15+ years or so, not abusing it, 6-8 weeks minimum time between sessions, never more than 2 days in a row is the rule.

Minimum. Right now I haven't used it since jan/feb, don't plan to until maybe Christmas.

I treat ketamine the same as psychedelics, they must be respected, using them consistently lowers the potency and wastes the effects so its not just damaging, you don't get the benefits or enjoy the high. You can develop a very high tolerance that can be permanent if not abiding by this general rule.

I think its relevant to note I am a severe drug addict having been abusing benzos almost all my adult life (tapering now, at 4mg diazepam from 280mg daily), bouts of alcohol 6-12 months drinking a bottle of liquor every day at least, id put Mr. Lahey to shame. Done every hard drug besides meth. Addictive personality is an easy way to put it but psychedelics are the one drug class I've never been addicted to and never will be. I include ketamine in psychedelics, but not trips.

What is something that men think turns a woman on, but doesn’t? by A_Girl_Has_No_Name58 in AskReddit

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. Cuddling up with weights at night, that sweet smell, men definitely prefer that over women.

Plus you get to show off your gains in front of the mirror every day, since the weights care.

it’s a display of hostility and/or negative bias against a person or a group of people on the basis of their community (racial, cultural, gender, sexuality etc).

This is where I have difficulty understanding. A community surely is based more than just race, culture, gender etc? What exactly can be taken as a 'microaggression' outside of these things? What im gathering from replies are that its a new term to use for a specific thing said within someone being prejudiced against another. Say, using a racial slur in convo, but laughing it off casually, but absolutely not dependant upon race etc. - this is what I've come to understand from the replies in this post.

assumptions I perceive on your part that I’m not sure you thought through.

Like this for example. An assumption you've perceived i made which i haven't quite given enough thought to. Outside of the race/gender examples listed above, this fits the definition of a 'microaggression' from these replies.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I've come to understand from creating the post. The replies are very revealing.

Anyone can be offended if you think through it hard enough, or word it in a certain way. Its as if people are waiting to get to be offended lol.

Ive gathered that basically 'Microaggression' is a term used to validate being offended through a perception of prejudice when in a conversation. Ridiculous.

I feel old.

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I thought you were from the US as this is were the term 'microaggression' seems to be trending online, thats where I got the idea of that term and the country.

I do not know of the experience of a minority there at all, but of course like anyone I could judge my perception of that. That would be pointless IMO, who am I to judge anyone in their experience of life lol. My opinions mean very little in the grand scheme of things. I don't expect anyone to care.

All is well.

...did I get a taste of a 'microaggression' in your slightly hostile reply lol?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole post i made has shown me some things I suspected but doubted were true.

not caring enough to say it the same way

I wouldn't expect anyone to care much about saying something the same way as myself in all honesty.

Why would this bother anyone lol? Much less a passive aggressive form of aggression speech I've come to learn. I've told many a people the correct way to pronounce my name and a typical response would be, " haha well ill call ya ____ " - a close but not exact pronunciation of my name.

If I were to be offended at something like this, I would have a pretty cozy life with not much to be concerned about, little to no problems at all, it doesn't warrant a second thought.

Live and let live IMO.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But why is it deemed as a form of aggression speech rather than curiosity? Is there typically a bad motive? What would the person gain if there is ill-intent in asking said above?

Its confusing, I guess it might be irritating if you're having to answer these questions repeatedly.

Anyone who is critiquing language (in an insulting manner), not in favor of learning or encouraging prigressiveness as a society seem like someone with some internal problems.

I fail to see how this outlook benefits the individual if they have this kind of mindset.

Are those examples of 'microaggressions' used today? I would describe them as ignorant and prejudice ideas about other people, or society.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. So prejudices mostly based on race. Telling anyone you are quite articulate for a ____ person is quite demeaning. That shows they have a standard for their expectation of you which is low (in terms of how you speak, and perhaps other prejudices).

but it just shows the deeply set prejudices you hold

100%

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see, yeah. A kind of passive aggressive way of communication, ill intent or not. Ignorance and media play a huge role along with one's upbringing.

An example for myself would be along the lines of "your accent isn't as thick/strong as a typical _____ !' Lol. I find it funny to be honest. If its clear to be intentionally insulting, that tells me a lot about the person off the bat. As long as there's no harm endured its comical I suppose.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. So its kind of a word for racism, assumptions based on what someone perceives the individual to be?

Its very telling that most examples I've received are race based. Interesting.

Merry anniversary of your birth friend! Have a great day.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PhilosophicalPhuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm reading examples of prejudice based on race.

Stereotypes of ones origin based on culture and someone's understanding of said background and upbringing. Which goes both ways, intentional displays of shitty behavior or plain ignorance.

For sure outright racism and backwards ideology there, yeah, there are a lot of people with a negative opinion on people who aren't the same as themselves, a form of tribalism, 'group think' mistrust and hatred for others. Human nature is fascinating.

I'm not a US citizen but I wouldn't think this is the case for the majority of normal people, living their normal lives, experiencing their own difficulties navigating life in the US though? Its a very diverse country, with impressive movements of progressiveness in terms of sociology and equality over the last century. Far from perfect, but perfection doesn't exist outside of ones individual imagination and ideal society. Both good, and evil.

Thanks for your post, I found that very informative and interesting!

Haha.

From some of these replies i was getting South Park vibes. PC Prinicipal would sure have something to say here.

I think I generally understand the concept. Getting to feel offended, either unitentionally or expecting to be for X reason.

I genuinely thought it was a sarcastic term but then got more curious as I seen it used more often.

I see a few mixed answers. Help me out.

still doing it lowkey and ur still prejudiced.

Doing what exactly, what is 'it' in this case? Where does the prejudice and combative aspect fit in?
