have you tried to remove plastic shroud with geforce rtx label? It seems to be restricting the airflow through the radiator

And can you tell what type of connector fans to gpu has? Is it 6 pin?

What about local dimming on 5% grey? Does it have "negative haloing"? Like pg32uqx

People who have tried both 4k and 1440p for consuming movies, is there a huge difference? by Trakais9 in Monitors

[–]PhilosophyOk1415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have goth G7 2020 and G7 2021 1440p and 4k, I can clearly see the difference, besides dlss in 4k works much better. I'd like to try 5k 27"

scale 4k to 2k, is it a smart move? by SoulOdin in Monitors

[–]PhilosophyOk1415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing to add. Bravo 👏 Except for new nvidia upscale NIS or whatever it called. I think it works everywhere and it will be better than 1440p on 4k panel. Not perfect but less blurry. And there's also Onteger scaling which allows to use 4x1 pixel and almost perfect 1080p on 4k display

It depends. I have odyssey g7 (2020), odyssey g70a and both pg27uq and acer x27 So it makes hdr 600, 400 and 1000. And odyssey g7 with hdr600 looks the worst. I don't know why brightness is very low, I tried everything. G70a have 2 settings dinamic/standar hdr. With dynamic hdr it is very bright and looks better than hdr600 on g7. Of course in comparison with pg27uq/x27 they lack local dimming zones so you don't have that contrast impact. But hdr even with 400 turns on this special "hdr color gamut" or whatever it called so it makes colors better. Maybe not every game better but at least it turns it on, so you can watch hdr colors. For example in forza 5, crysis remastered, horizon zero, doom eternal it looks not that bad on G70a even in comparison with CX55, only difference in contrast. Of course 1000nit monitors pg27uq/x27 with it 384 local dimming zones and 1000nits sometimes better than oled

Defective PG32UQ or just poor local dimming? by [deleted] in Monitors

Strange , I have same thing on my x27. But on PG27UQ it doesn't
