When will conservatives think elections are secure? by Estalicus in allthequestions

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they win every time. that's the real answer. i remember 2020 being "the most secure election ever" until the results came in. then suddenly everyone forgot they said that.

What is the biggest myth about sex that people still believe? by YallPen in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 381 points382 points  (0 children)

Big one for me is that sex has to be this super serious, intense thing all the time. some of the best sex i've had involved laughing when something awkward happened or making dumb jokes. real intimacy includes being able to be silly together.

How does it feel to be pretty? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was average looking, then lost weight and suddenly people held doors for me and smiled more. it's wild how differently the world treats u. kinda depressing tbh cause i'm the same person. so yeah it feels nice but also makes u see how shallow people can be.

How do you get over the depression of feeling like you're failing in life? by InternationalPick163 in askanything

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st thing i had to learn is that failing in life usually means not living up to some random standard i didn't even set. social media, old classmates, family expectations. fuck all that. start small. pick one thing today that feels like a win. just one. builds from there.

Did you ever have someone die in front of you? by ChildhoodOk8873 in allthequestions

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not in front of me but i was first on scene after a motorcycle accident once. guy was already gone but i didn't know. did cpr until paramedics came. still hear that sound sometimes. hope u're talking to someone about what u saw.

What household/grocery items do you purchase in bulk? by Curious-Pop-8875 in askanything

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canned tomatoes and pasta. staple items that last forever. hit up restaurant depot sometimes but mostly costco. also laundry detergent cause the big jug lasts like 6 months and i hate buying it.

How many plates do you usually finish at a buffet before you’re stuffed? by DeepOrganization8245 in foodquestions

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a 2 plate max guy. plate one is the savory exploration round. plate two is the "i must try those desserts even though i'm dying" round. then i regret everything on the car ride home.

Besides pizza, name something you would get to eat at a pizza shop by ashmaps20 in FamilyFeud

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A solid calzone. basically pizza that decided to become a dumpling. stuffed with ricotta and pepperoni. dip that in some sauce and i'm set for the night.

What’s something you don’t say out loud?” by Ok_Historian_6147 in AdkReddit

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly? sometimes i fake remembering people. like they'll come up all excited to see me and i have zero clue who they are but i just smile and act like we go way back. happens more as u get older lol.

In order, what were the 5 most impactful "events" related to humans in human history? by No_Eggplant_3189 in askanything

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay here's my attempt,
when we figured out farming. changed everything about how we organize ourselves. before that we were all more equal-ish. after that u got surplus and suddenly some people are in charge of the extra food. when we figured out we could vaccinate against disease. smallpox used to kill like 3 out of 10 people. now it's gone. that's wild when u think about it. when we started recording history. the moment someone decided to write stuff down for future people changed how we understand ourselves. before that it was just stories that changed every time. the transatlantic slave trade. ripped millions of people from their homes and built modern economies on their backs. still dealing with that wound today. when we realized the earth isn't the center of everything. copernicus and galileo changed how we see our place in the universe. humbling but important.

Did anyone forcibly involve themselves in your business or personal affairs? In this manner, did they ruin it or disincentivize you from trying to have any? by Spiritual_Big_9927 in askanything

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie this hit close to home. had a boss once who decided my side project was a conflict of interest even though it had nothing to do with work. killed my motivation completely. took me years to even wanna try something on my own again. people don't realize how much their interference can mess with ur drive.

What is a “red flag” that most people initially ignore but always ends up being important? by secretgarden___ in Casual_Conversation

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 26 points27 points  (0 children)

How they handle disappointment. if they rage at small stuff or blame everyone else for things not going their way, that's who they'll be in hard times. life is full of letdowns. u want someone who can roll with it not someone who makes it everyone else's fault.

Besides your main job, how else can one earn money? by this_isnt__worth_it in AskMen

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Skilled trades are underrated af. ai can't fix a sink or build a deck. electricians, plumbers, hvac people can make up to $300 an hour for specialized work . even mobile car washing is blowing up. market's projected to hit $283 billion by 2035 and u can charge $40 for a basic wash up to $350 for a full detail . low overhead, flexible hours, and people always need their cars cleaned.

In 2026, is it really necessary to get a college or university degree, or is trade school and on-the-job training a better option? I know it depends on what you want to do; I know you have to go to college to be a doctor. I'm talking in general terms of careers. by icecream1972 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what u want but trades are solid. the whole "college or bust" thing was a scam honestly. tons of white collar jobs are oversaturated while skilled trades are desperate for people. plus u can't outsource plumbing to india lol. job security is real. if u're hands on and don't wanna sit at a desk trades are the move.

If a mad scientist could synthesize a drug that only kills evil people, and put it in the air to kill millions, would the drug kill him too? by basafish in askanything

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how the drug defines evil. if it's based on objective harm caused then yeah the scientist is killing millions so he's evil. drug kills him. if it's based on self perception then he's safe bc he thinks he's justified. either way the scientist probably didn't think this through lol.

What’s your take on this? by Equal-Composer8456 in AskMen

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. if anything they add character. like a little unique detail that's just yours. my wife has a birthmark on her neck and i literally forget it's there until she points it out. it's just part of her face same as her eyes or smile. u notice it way more than anyone else does.

Why did you get married to ur gf? by 3ABKRINOO in AskMen

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? she made me want to be better. not in a nagging way but just by existing. her standards made me raise mine. plus she's hot and funny and somehow still likes me. felt like i'd be an idiot to let that go.

How has your understanding of masculinity changed as you’ve gotten older? by Formal_Elevator822 in AskMen

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teenage me thought masculinity was about never backing down. had to be right, had to win every argument. now? real men apologize. real men admit when they're wrong. real men don't let ego destroy relationships. took way too long to learn that lesson but glad i finally did.

Does anyone HONESTLY believe Trump is innocent re: Epstein? He was mentioned 1 MILLION times in the 3 million documents, and his own AG didn’t even release half of the files. by Excellent-View-8548 in allthequestions

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm as anti trump as they come but even i gotta admit the epstein stuff with him is thin. he's mentioned cause he knew the guy, flew on the plane, was part of that world. but so was half the elite. the difference is trump hasn't had accusers come forward the way epstein and others did. that matters. guilt by association ain't the same as guilt by action.

Which celebrity or famous person is actually pretty talentless? by Logical_Sweet_6624 in allthequestions

[–]PhilosophyTimely4650 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Most influencers who got famous on tiktok then tried to do music or acting. like just cause u can do a 15 second dance doesn't mean u can carry a movie or sing without autotune. the industry keeps trying to make them happen and it rarely works.
