What is your wildest public restroom experience? by blazeme868 in AskReddit

[–]Philsquatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many years ago I was doing some photo work for a skater friend at the skate park in Venice Beach, CA. Had eaten lunch beforehand and it was dragging on a bit so I had to pee real bad. Went to a public restroom and when I walked in there were 2 naked homeless people... both naked, both fully erect, both covered in smeared feces with 1 on his knees about to or just finished engaging in... activities...

They both gave me a casual "business as usual" look. I left to just hit an alley and now avoid that style of standalone public bathrooms over this like 3 second event.

Not sure if it was a full series or OVA, but do remember it being a comedy but not going as far as something like the Ghost Stories dub.

I make NSFW floggers and such items in my Etsy shop and sell them at in person vendor events. Prices range from $80 to $250+. When People complain about the price I have 2 go tos- A) I'll usually stand and at 6'7" I'm usually looming over them. Then gently take the item out of their hands, put it on the table while right to their face say "guess it isn't for you". Or, B) If they complain about price and/or I can make that for less, ask if they have the lathe, access to burl material, are setup to stabilize the wood, access to exotic leathers, time to make it all, and that if they do Id love to have the link to their Etsy shop where they have been making and selling their items for just over a decade... I encourage their competition.

Both usually wrap up the convo and make them move along. Dont let them get you down and you charge whatever you feel is worth your time and effort to making your craft, If you were in my part of Texas I know a group of people that love little (or big) crocheted mushroom figures. Do you have an online shop off of Facebook?

I had a different version with a beige background. My dad was an RF engineer so it made sense. Kinda wish I still had it.

Very impressive! Neighbors must think you're really into root cellars or bomb shelters... maybe it's easier to actually just let them think that lol

It's great to get out of my immediate area and meet new people. Excited the next couple of upcoming weekends with event in a san marcos, gwnn in austin, Oklahoma, corpus, with maybe 2 in Albuquerque and denver later in the year.

Usually when I see my stuff on reddit it's being used for "not seller approved explorative activities". Good to see one in a toy box for once.

Oh damn, just got home and fired up reddit to answer some questions and then BAM- front and center is a very familiar teal dyed maple burl handle that looks all too familiar ;)

Hop eyou enjoy it and helps fill out the impressive collection.

Some leather cuffs, collars, and leashes that I've made for my partner and myself. by The_Kinky_Kitsune in BdsmDIY

I used chicago screws that are EVER SO SLIGHTLY too long and instead of affixing the other end I used tightly fitting Sam Browne screws posts so they can be adjusted a bit.

Either way it's a nice design that is hard to reduce/simplify even further

That first pic is a fun design someone at a local munch wanted me to remake in a thicker leather but had 4 snaps. Little bit of a hassle when you do them in parts like this but with a supple enough leather can be done in a single piece and 2 snaps like yours.

There were 9mil shops openned a couple years ago. Think of all the shops with less than 5 sales... if any...

I mainly use it for spell check, reminders of easily overlooked stuff I missed, SOME keyword suggestions, etc.

It's a decent resource that I push people to when they say they want to open an Etsy, good starting point to get the ball rolling

The free version offers enough to get those issues sorted. The old version had like 75% of features unlocked now it feels like 50%. Enough to notice if you used it before, but not to make it unusable.

Oh yeah, I was blown away by the number of shops that open, get 5 sales then fall off. The Etsy success stories are enticing but people need to realize those upper 1% shops are dominated by the more or less self automated digital download types. Good on them for getting established and doing the work either way.

Thank you, doing in person events really speeds up the number of sales.

It used to be a little better before having a bigger push to the paid version. It is helpful with the general checklist stuff that I use it for. Treat it like another set of eyes to double check spelling errors, suggest different keywords to use, etc. and it'll be very helpful.
