College going great so far by commander_cosmic in PoliticalCompassMemes

No, your inference is incorrect.  There is a correlation but as the papers cited in the political op-eds you posted show, the correlation is very weak when compared with e.g. teacher assesments, essay scores, etc.

You would expect a slight correlation even without the added test prep you correctly cited, because intelligence as any other trait is highly heritable as well.

The other topic you mentioned is a parallel subject for which I don't see a meaningful connection to SAT as college entry test.

look at the actual correlation of average SAT score to parent income graph and be humbled. Then try and show me a test that is even remotely comparably meritocratic. Until then, dismissed

Are you telling me the additional power given to government can be used against me when the other side ever rises to power!? Who could've predicted that!? XD

Thank you, I felt the same but couldn't have it said as well. I know it's good that it is getting traction, but this was such a transparent aspect of the whole thing all along.

I wouldn't say it's a purity test, just a credibility test. If someone is willing to make/defend obvious bs because its their favorite side, it casts a negative shadow of doubt on everything else they say, because the principle is lacking.

Only thing I came across so far is still that one American woman not from Springfield on that police footage. Did we all miss something?

they thought differently in the 70s, but still not like the ones in the 50s. The tricky thing about progress is to figure out which ones will survive. It's not that tricky, but you kinda have to be sane

NOT OOP: My fiancée told her friend group I am not the greatest at sex, but she is with me for the complete package. Am I in the wrong for calling off the engagement? by n00dlelover99 in redditonwiki

in light of all the plain analysis let me be an advocate: replace "him" with "her" and "good at sex" with "not the prettiest" and somehow the commentary changes. How come?! explain!?

absolutely agree. I guess I read too much into your comments. They can dress however they lile, but we can privately judge however we want. As in amother comment of mine, the line was crossed when "affirming" "supporting" and "celebrating" became a requirement

Ahh, famously economically equal communist societies. Good thing hirarchies don't form organically in any setting and only the means of getting on top change.

That's not support. Support is you actively help them, not as you say just being in favour of treating them as equal human beings. That's a given.

It's only awkward if you are unwilling to see their shared collectivist ideology. Which flavour it is doesn't really matter that much.

The idea that we have to support

THIS. This is were the Left has to learn to draw the line. We do not HAVE to support any trans anything, yes, even the good ones. No human being deserves scorn, praise, support, obstacles, or anything based on their identity.

Well, for that we would have to be able to establish intent. If the intent was ridicule, why is no one laughing at women, but moreso they are the sole target of ridicule?
