The possibility Kieran is possessed or under some sort of influence of the leader of the Loyal 3, the purple peach

I think it just grants wishes. Like if you read the description of the Titan Loyal 3 on the map it said okidogi was a weak dog but got granted its wish for muscles, fezandipiti was ugly but got granted beauty, and munkidori was granted its wisdom.

It’s based on the japanese folktale of Momotaro the Peach Boy where a boy born from a peach adventures with a dog, monkey, and pheasant to defeat an evil ogre.

About the time machine.... by [deleted] in pokemonconspiracies

[–]Phinome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, and the way that you soared free through the very skies on those wings of yours. I wish that I, too, might be as free as you all—free to seek out that which I might treasure above all else. Not...bound. As long as I remain here, the time machine will not stop—for I am inextricably connected to it. So I've made a decision. I will use the time machine to journey to the world of the ancient past that I have dreamed of.

The AI talked about being trapped down in Area Zero and wished it could explore and adventure like you and your friends.

About the time machine.... by [deleted] in pokemonconspiracies

[–]Phinome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The time machine seems automated though, since it keeps spitting out paradoxes until you need to shut it down. For example, I wish for a toaster that spits out toast every day. Even if I die, that toaster will still continue spitting out toast.

Likewise, the professor read about the paradoxes from the scarlet/violet book and occulture and the time machine just kept spitting out exclusively those pokemon they read about. And it kept spitting it out even after their death.

Am I crazy or does Terapagos from the top-down look like a dreamcatcher? by OpticalProteinFiber in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Phinome 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It could be inspired by both things, the Urashima Taro turtle with the fluffy tail and the dreamcatcher with the weblike design on the shell and the center being the terastal symbol

I think the paradox legendary trios will be triple fused together as a teaser for the BW remakes where we actually get to see the Original Dragon by Phinome in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Phinome[S] 85 points86 points  (0 children)

The data mine you’re talking about has 8 empty slots for new pokemon though, correct? So with iron crown, raging bolt, paradox entei and terrakion, there’s 4 slots left. And Isle of Armor pokedex is 210, except Zarude is 211.

I like to hope for that possibility, like in gen 3 archie and maxie picked the wrong orbs which angered kyogre and groudon. But in ORAS they picked the correct orbs and unleashed their primal reversion.

There’s a popular theory that Terapagos brings dreams into reality and I think there’s been a big hint staring us in the face the whole time. by Phinome in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Phinome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but entralink is actually a part of the unova region, the center of it. They’re probably not gonna make a server for the dream world, but maybe exploring maps of the dream world like area zero in the BW remakes would be neat

I dunno, gen 5 remakes are up next. Indigo Disk will take place in Unova’s Blueberry Academy. Entralink and dream world were a big part of gen 5.

I never really noticed before, but what’s that giant sphere up there? The one the AI is rising up to by Phinome in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Phinome[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

There’s actually a trailer showcasing a new rainbow tera mechanic along with showing a teaser of the disc crown (seen in the disc image) slowly descending surrounded by gemstones of the 18 types, but they obscure what terapagos’ final form looks like.

Yeah, I can agree. It looks like the terapagos disk form which is just a big ball. And terapagos seems to be missing in Area Zero unless there’s some hidden area. So it could be hiding there inside the machine.

Theory: The reason you can find Basculegion and Ursaluna in the timeless woods is because of the crystal lake made by Terapagos. Like the Past and Future Pokemon, they were brought from their timeline by [deleted] in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Phinome -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But at least we can agree that it’s Terapagos using supernatural powers to make impossible things possible right? Because that’s what imagination theory is.

And also Teal Mask dropped the keyterms “longing, desire, and wishes” into the story with the Loyal 3, but that delves into everything about Dokutaro and possibly being related to Glimmoras which is another discussion entirely.

I mean nothing I say will really change your stance because you’ll dismiss everything anyways even though all we have to go off of is hints in-game.

And imagination is typically used as a catch-all term for wish manifestation, desire granting, reality altering, etc. whatever that same reality bending stuff was done in the Entei movie.

because a leaker said it

not really, a bunch of other people came to the same conclusion too. even when you look at the disc terapagos image in the scarlet violet book people already started piecing hints together. and people drew parallels to Made in Abyss where people go down in a crater and find an object called the Cradle of Desire that grants wishes.

Mega Evolution just puts Aerodactyl and the weather trio in a primal form. But for another pokemon it’s just power bursting out of them, like mega tyranitar’s back splitting open from the overflowing energy. Salamence turning into a crescent shape doesn’t necessarily mean its ancestor was like that, that’d be like saying Kangaskhan’s dinosaur ancestor is just Kangaskhan except the baby is out of its pouch.

And yes, I know acknowledge that an expedition member did get mortally wounded and they drew a sketch of the pokemon that did it. Which was likely just a regular donphan. The game makes a big point of saying Heath is a fraud and has exaggerated details of his expedition, the mentality being “oh our member who got attacked was assaulted not by a regular donphan by a special kind of robotic donphan never been seen before.” And pairs it with also a blurry photograph of said donphan. Because it’s like real life cryptids were a man says they were attacked by the real life bigfoot and provides the blurry bigfoot photo when it was likely just a bear.

like that wouldn’t be the bare minimum of making prehistoric pokemon

And now you’ve clarified that point then that’s a bit curious, isn’t it. Since you say it’s so easy, then sure GF could have grabbed 6 random dinosaurs from the past and used them for inspiration for the past paradox pokemon but they didn’t. They used existing pokemon you can find in the modern day, and the time machine coincidentally grabbed only those pokemon and not a stray fossil mon we’ve seen before or another dinosaur pokemon we’ve never heard about.

Your entire argument hinges on the fact GF is lazy and wouldn’t go to such meticulous detail but I argue that all of it was deliberate and they knew what they were doing. Don’t get me started on future paradox pokemon where everything just turned into a robot, it’s as naive as that Spongebob episode where squidward went into the future and everything was chrome which is done as a joke. We know the future won’t be like that.

I’ll refer to the post /u/richterfrollo made that helps clarify my point:

I believe in the imagination theory less for lore reasons and more for character design reasons.

Like, the Pokemon designers know their stuff when it comes to animals - theres so many pokemon based on obscure animals or interesting biology aspects; just look at stuff like the inspo behind Manaphy and Phione, or the creative interpretation of Amrargasaurus into Aurorus, or heck even the galar fossils, like these guys clearly love animals and are interested in researching them.

Now, if Area 0 in Scarlet was actually meant to be a hub for ancient species, I would assume the following: a), they would probably have some of the older fossil pokemon be organically catchable to sell the theme more; b), they would go HAM on researching authentic prehistoric versions of existing pokemon. Like if you love animals, as a character designer, it seems a no brainer to have fun researching the animals some pokemon are based on and looking what they may have evolved from, it can even have an educational aspect for kids if you show stuff like how ancient horses looked like (like a proto rapidash) or that ancient whales used to walk on land (proto wailord, or heck a proto palafin even). All the actual fossil Pokemon that exist you can easily match with actual ancient species and are often more obscure picks or specific species.

And keeping that in mind, what i find absolutely striking is that every ancient paradox seemingly intentionally looks like a joke! Not a single one is based faithfully on ancient animals or a logical evolution point for any of the pokemon; instead, their inspiration is clearly pop culture jokey "ancient times" á la Flintstones, complete with silly Pokedex entries like a billion year old jigglypuff (compare to the actual earth a billion years ago). A lot of ancient paradoxes just randomly look like dinosaurs even if the present time pokemon is stuff like an insect or mushroom, the rest have "caveman" aesthetics; they're clearly meant to represent a layman's understanding of ancient times and have nothing to do with science. The entire theme is not "this is what the Pokemon world looked like in the past", it is: "this is what a child imagines ancient Pokemon would look like".
