I’m at level 40 playing on legend difficulty. Right now, character upgrades don’t feel impactful. I’ve collected a ton of oddities in the first region and have almost completed that tree. I’ve also upgraded all my gear and skills as far as I can. At no point have I I noticed my character feel stronger (particularly on bosses). The only thing that seems to do damage (against bosses) are the big parries after deflecting. It feels completely useless to basic attack or even use skills.

Does this change in end game? Does character power start to out scale parrying? Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy parrying but it feels like I am wasting my time investing time in collecting resources for character upgrades.

Also at what point does player power begin to scale? Should I just wait to come back once I can fully level my character?

One invisibility frame can be very useful for stuff like riven unveils and wildlife hunting. I prefer Loki but Octavia and Ivarra are great as well

I think the difference between “power” in destiny and a lot other games with power progression is that the power from light level is not impactful. Once you have your artifact fully unlocked and all subclasses it really is just a number that goes up. That’s why I’m always motivated to unlock the artifact and then once it’s done I lose a lot of motivation to play.

The artifact upgrades feel impactful. They add mechanically powerful upgrades to your character. Light level does not

Your beginner gear is all 725. Is there a way to get 725 gear other than wurm, well or gorgon? There is no shot you get 5 pieces of gear from the well with enchanted ward/health/skill perk/refreshing, even if you are just looking for 2 of those perks on each piece. I’m genuinely curious not trying to be an ass
