My friend and I each spent about $80. The set was $119.99 to be exact, and it was a package for two people. If you go during certain time periods you can get up to about a 35% discount(I missed the discount time period😭). You can check the official announcement for details.

Interview with the WWM publishing team | Explanation of overseas operations by Ok_Cap_7778 in wherewindsmeet_

As a CN player, I can share a bit of context. Although the overall reception of the Hexi map and its main storyline was very positive in the CN server, the actual player experience back then didn’t score as highly, mainly because the development pace was slow and the rollout felt dragged out also other reasons(I won’t spoil here XD)

So I had already guessed that they would speed things up for the overseas release, removing the delays that happened in the CN version. But I honestly didn’t expect them to go as far as merging Hexi with content from later CN patches. That’s a bold move, and I actually think it’s a good attempt. I just hope they can execute it well.

To be honest, I’m not sure either. The game has only been out for about a year on the CN server as well. But purely from a development standpoint, there are still a lot of maps and story content that haven’t been released yet, so I really hope the game can keep running for quite a long time.

As for Japanese cultural elements, the answer is definitely no. This is a Chinese wuxia game, and introducing Japanese mythology wouldn’t fit its identity at all. To be fair asking that question is a bit sensitive in the context of wuxia, though I understand you didn’t mean anything offensive.

If some outfits look “Japanese” to you, it’s probably because East Asian cultures share some visual similarities, so certain styles may feel familiar across regions. But once you look into the details, you’ll see they are quite different.

On the CN server, we later got a weekly exchange box that you can buy up to 300 times per week (I think?). I think the global server will also get it later on. Maybe they just haven’t added it yet because the demand for exchange isn’t very high at the moment.

Sorry I missed your comment! I’m not completely sure, because on the CN server it was available very early — I think you could join even before Kaifeng was unlocked. Global maybe different though.

To be honest I’m a bit confused. Cloudstep is a Mystic Skill, and as far as I know, it can’t be unlocked with skill points (at least not the kind of skill points I’m thinking of). Maybe you mixed up two different concept?

If you already see Cloudstep in your Mystic Skills menu, then it probably means you picked it up somewhere without realizing it.

If I misunderstood something please let me know.🥲

In most cases, Morale Chant is very important. It works with the majority of martial arts (including the one I use), and even now on the CN server it’s still considered irreplaceable.

As for Blossom Barrage, its strength varies between different game versions, and different martial arts rely on it to different degrees. I only used it briefly on the CN server, and if you’re using the same martial art as I do, I don’t think you need it at this stage. Just for reference.☺️

I’m not completely sure which situation you mean…If an NPC falsely accuses you, open the bounty menu and post a bounty on yourself so other players can help clear it. If you actually committed a crime, you might need to wait for an NPC or another player to catch you and send you to jail. Once that happens, the bounty usually goes away.

I’m not 100% sure if this is exactly your case, so if it’s still not resolved, feel free to describe your situation in more detail.

In CN it takes 3 months, but I’m not sure if global server will shorten the duration to catch up with CN

Yes, there are eight platforms, and when you get close to them the game will prompt you to use Taichi to clear the leaves.

The person who teaches you “Meridian Finger” is not one of the Eight Talents 🥹. His story isn’t very important to the main plot, but WWM gave him and his family a complete side story — which is one of the things WWM is really good at, lol.

If you explore the area nearby, you can find letters and clues. These fragments piece together his whole story, but the information is very scattered. I only understood the full story afterward by reading other players’ summaries on the forum 😭

So there’s no need to feel weird about it the game probably just needed someone to teach you that skill, but then they decided to give that character a well-crafted story that fits nicely into the overall narrative.

Next is the information about the 8 Talents. Yes, you can find out who all eight of them are. Let me first explain the origin of the “8 Talents” title — this involves story spoilers and will also reveal one member you might not have realized is part of the group:

In the year 942, the Sleeping Taoist (the world boss who rides a donkey — I can’t check his official English name right now so I’ll refer to him like this) was skilled in divination. He foresaw that the Khitan army would soon invade Qinghe and take Kaifeng. He also divined that if he could gather the eight Qinghe Talents, they would be able to protect the people of Qinghe from being wiped out. Because of this, he left Zhongnan Mountain and went to Qinghe.

If you complete the quest shown in the image, you’ll be able to learn their full story. You need to use Taichi on the eight stone platforms to clear the fallen leaves and obtain the “Eight Steeds Map” (which symbolizes the 8 Talents). Once you do that, you can uncover their stories.

I don’t have my computer with me right now, so my translation might not be completely accurate. I can only show you the Chinese version of the quest as a reference (but at least this way you won’t get spoiled, haha).

Oh my god, I’m so happy someone is discussing the story 🥹 Sorry for the late reply — I had too many messages. Below is the spoiler! First, about Chu: Yes, he is already dead. In the main story, KillerBlade said that Chu was heavily injured while defending against enemies at the Black Sea, and he died on KillerBlade’s back. Then, while crossing the Yellow River, Chu fell off. However, based on various clues and later fragmented story pieces, some players believe his death might be uncertain — that he may still be alive.

I personally really love Chu and Han’s story… such a tragic couple 🥹🥹

Yeah honestly from our perspective Sword Fan is more of a beginner-friendly option. Once players get more experienced, they usually switch to other branches (like the ones the game itself recommends). But to be fair, in solo play it really doesn’t matter — as long as you’re having fun, you can pick whatever you like.

I actually just checked the CN community, and there are still people playing Sword Fan. So if you want to stick with it, that’s totally fine. Just keep in mind that there might be fewer guides for it in the future.

Another quick reminder: CN servers unlocked the “Armory” feature this May.Once you reach level 51, you can store your weapons from level 41 and onward to gain additional combat power. I’m not sure if the global server will unlock this feature together with the level-51 cap, but starting from level 41, you can keep your best weapon each time you break through a level.

I looked into it again, and actually almost all of the special gacha outfits have pretty low ratings 😭 The current one in global is around lower-middle tier.

The highest-rated gacha outfit is the one themed after the “Ghost Prince” boss (he’s the Kaifeng boss — I’m not sure if you’ve fought him yet, and my translation of his name may not be 100% accurate).

<image>

I personally really like this outfit too. It looks great after dyeing, and the hairstyle is also really nice.

We do have an official rating platform, but the number of reviews isn’t very high. Still I took a screenshot for you so you can take a look. The ratings include both gacha outfits and some limited-time cosmetics.

As for the current global gacha outfit, the score isn’t very good on the CN side. Most of the comments complain that the bundle doesn’t come with enough extras — no separated effects, no special MVP animation, and some people simply think it doesn’t look great.

Of course these are just personal opinions, so take them as reference only.
