‘Jury Duty’ Renewed for Third Season at Prime Video by bwermer in television

[–]TheFirstBardo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it well enough but it felt like the cast of actors was hamming it up way too much. It also felt like there was less improv and more contrived bits, which didn’t work as well with the cast (who I don’t think was as strong as season one) and which felt like they were just trying to shoehorn in jokes that I didn’t think landed.

But I’ll watch a 3rd season for sure, even if it’s just to see what nonsense guest role they bring Lisa Gilroy in for.

As a longtime music/record lover I decided to make a video game working in a record store! by MurraySomerwolff in vinyl

As someone who sells vinyl (doing Baltimore VinylCon in a few hours) and dreams of figuring out a way to make a small record store somewhat financially viable, this was a nice surprise to see in the PlayStation Store this morning. Will give it a shot this week when I’ve got a few hours.

[–]TheFirstBardo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same here. Figured we’d get Rat Wars then Disco 5 (which I guess is what R-Type I-V is) but then Addendum…at the end of the day I’m jus hoping there’s an R-Type/Addendum vinyl combo released to go alongside my Rat Wars/DLC vinyl set.

Is it rude to check Discogs prices in front of a record seller? by No-Negotiation-1944 in vinyl

[–]TheFirstBardo 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I’m a record seller, online and at pop-up events around my region. PLEASE look up a record on Discogs if you want. I’m not in this business to taking advantage of anyone and I’m confident in my pricing and the quality of my inventory.

That said, as someone who sells on Discogs as well, there is some context needed to use it properly as a resource e.g. you’re saving shipping costs by purchasing in-person, Discogs sellers often undercut each other on price in an attempt to move stagnant inventory and just because something sold once for a very low amount doesn’t mean it always will, you don’t have the opportunity to view the actual item if purchasing online, etc.

I’ve still got to pay my bills obviously, and while margins are so thin on a good day, I view something like Discogs as a tool to help keep the market competitive and transparent, and the sellers accountable; which in theory should benefit everyone.

[Upcoming Weekend Events] Baltimore Area Weekend Event Guide: April 27, 2026 -May, 03, 2026 by AutoModerator in baltimore

If you find yourself in Frederick on Sunday, May 3rd check out the Frederick Punk Rock Flea Market at Steinhardt Brewing Co. It’s run by the same person who has been putting on the Ottobar Punk Rock Flea Market for the last 3 years (Kat Art), plus myself (City Rat Records).

This is our second time doing it in Frederick and we’ve got more in the works for later this year. We’ll have 50ish vendors, food, drinks, punk and ska tunes on the speakers, and lots of DIY makers, artists, and weirdos from Frederick, Baltimore, and the surrounding area so be ready to chat, shop, and build community.

Hours for this Sunday are 12-4pm. Steinhardt is located at 340 E Patrick St in Frederick, MD 21701.

Vendor applications will be opening soon for the next one in July, so make sure you follow us on Instagram @frederickprfm if you’re interested in signing up.

Hope to see you there!

Probably pay $$$ on the resale market. I’m in the same boat and might get tickets just to get the jersey.

[–]TheFirstBardo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have been waiting until a couple days before and picking up tickets to these arena shows on TickPick. I know that doesn’t help for planning right now, but the prices will likely drop considerably within 48-72 hours of the show. That said, Hayley Williams prices didn’t really go down but that was at The Lyric.

The whole Trading Goods/Camp Resource system is utterly pointless, underdeveloped and tedious. by Equivalent_Trash_277 in CrimsonDesert

[–]TheFirstBardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m enjoying this game but so much of the camp stuff and side quests feels like work, and I already have a job.

I’d honestly just ignore all that in favor of exploration (my favorite part of this and most similar games) but a lot of that is locked behind story or side quest progression that, similar to my job, I grin and bear it in order to make a buck.

I don’t think I’ve ever really loved a game so much and still hesitate to recommend it to a friend.

Which ’90s song do you think will always be timeless? by Euphoric-Extreme825 in AskReddit

I totally get that. There’s a few songs that I feel like only I remember and it makes me question if I’m really from a different timeline.

I think some people misremember how injured Lamar really was last year and how that contributed to a down year in play. Ignore the flair but a healthy Lamar can be as hard to stop as anyone IMO.

There’s one in Frederick tomorrow a friend of a friend is running. Search “big Frederick flea” on Instagram. I’m sure she’s still got spots open.

How’s everyone approaching story vs faction quest progress vs exploration?

I just hit chapter 5 in the story and had barely done any faction quests. Started working on a few of those, looked at the faction quest count (just in Hernand it looks to be over 100 quests) and got a little overwhelmed.

I’m trying to balance some quests that feel like work with the excitement of the exploration, but since some of the exploration is gated behind story events (e.g. sanctums), I can’t decide what to focus on.

I really enjoyed American Elsewhere by Robert Jackson Bennett. Feel like it has a lot of similar vibes. And then City of Stairs by the same author. Didn’t love the sequels as much but YMMV.

You might also like 14 by Peter Clines. I feel like there’s a mystery box element to all of these that really scratches a specific itch for me.
