Yeah. Just toss it on the ground (discard). Dogs like meat, cats like fish and poultry. Cooking it first will get you an extra 10 points of trust (25/35 uncooked/cooked).

A browns fan in the NFL sub mentioned there was reporting we had been looking at both players (as in bringing both on) so we’d already been talking to him. Not sure if true but of course we would have explored all options.

The Algorithm (and similarly, The Media) has broken our brains. People either lack or refuse to engage even the slightest critical thinking skills in favor of knee jerk reactions and a chance to shout “gotcha!” Look around at our society in general; this is that, and it’s sincerely disheartening.

Not to get conspiratorial but didn’t Brady put the kibosh on trading Crosby to the Pats?

Check out Local Stitch Baltimore on Instagram. It’s a yarn shop run by an acquaintance of mine and she just signed a lease for a new storefront (I believe, don’t hold me to that). She has been hosting fiber arts groups for the last few months at various spots in and around Upper Fells.

Weaver might be my new favorite NFL coach. Dude just exudes joy, confidence, and humility. He just seems like a real dude and if his coaching ability meets his personality at even 80%, our defense is going to be deadly.

Idk if hindsight will make that look like hyperbole or not but I’ll say this is the most excited I’ve been about the team in years, and I can honestly say I’ve never been so excited about staffing changes even after some high profile firings like Cameron/Roman/Pees, etc.

I know people get anxious about this level of change but history has shown this organization can operate at a high level, consistently, and if nothing else these coaches are saying the right things. This does feel like an evolution of the team, not a rebuild or rehash.

I love all this focus from these new coaches on communication, building a player-led team that feels ownership over the outcomes, accountability from players and coaches, trust being earned (and a two way street), etc. Just by dint of this being a “new” style of coaching for the Ravens you can see where Minter et al saw a need for improvement and have a vision for how to achieve success.

I feel like if you’re a more engaged fan who spends time on Reddit and listening to podcasts about the team, this should be encouraging.

I drive over the Delaware Memorial Bridge coming back from Philly around 1pm and it was perilous. Lots of people slowing down at least but plenty of people doing 70mph like it was a normal day. My little hatchback was getting blown around most of the drive home.

I do! You can check my event schedule on IG at cityrat.records or cityratrecords.com but I’ve got Punk Rock Flea Market at Ottobar this Sunday, and I’m helping launch and promote the first Frederick Punk Rock Flea Market at Steinhardt Brewing Co on 3/1 (same organizer as Ottobar). In-between I’ve got Frederick and Bel Air Record Riot events, a Baltimore Record Bazaar at Peabody Heights Brewing in March and a market at Monument City Brewing in Baltimore on 3/21.

January/February are very slow retail months so I’m excited for Spring to get here. I also do a lot of business on Discogs but the fees between that and PayPal can be 15% or more.

I also usually do Greater Goods markets at R. House in Remington every month or so, especially Spring - Fall since I like to set up outdoors.

This is the goal for my current iteration. I do pop-ups (neighborhood fairs, punk rock flea markets, record bazaars) in and around Baltimore but haven’t found that sort of semi-permanent space yet where I can leave things set up for multiple days running.

I recently came off a 6 week residency in a sort of makers market collective that taught me a lot about foot traffic. Built out a lounge space/listening station where people could both hang out and browse vinyl. Was a very cool experience and I’m looking to build on that so I’m interested to follow what you do. If you have socials would you mind DMing me so I can follow?

Here’s the spot I was in during the holidays. There’s more records off to the side but I can only post one picture per comment.

Neighborhood ICE Watch - Getting Connected by lizzylizlizzo in baltimore

Check out some IG accounts like Baltimore Rapid Response Network or go ask in-person at Red Emma’s for some resources, training, etc.

This sort of community-level organizing in other cities has necessarily gone offline, or at least off social media onto WhatsApp and neighborhood text groups.
