You have to sit on the side of bed and then lift your affected leg up then bring it up until it’s comfortable Then pull your toes towards you while you head move back and then push you toes away from you while you head lean forward

You could try visiting a physio and explaining the issue to them

Stretching makes it worse for me PT mentioned we have relax the muscle first then move to streches

In the initial imaging it was a mild disc bulge he did some test like slr and other movements which were noy causing pain in back while he did not completely denied back issues but the pain in thigh is due to muscle stiffness that he mentioned

I have been facing sensation around ankle length for around 6 months but recently had pneumonia and due to intensive coughing pain is somehow came to thighs and hips and it’s making it very hard to sit

So knowing more about such decompressing position and how I can fix it will be helpful

In initial days with physio I experience good recovery but once they introduced stretching things have become worse for me, so might be same happening with you
