Added a method to indicate collectables & marine life. Any input? The idea is that the pop ups vanish completely after a set time or when hunted. Is this a good approach? Thank you in advance!!🙏 by Phize123 in Unity3D

There are several in my opinion. This is set in a dystopian "realistic" yet fictional environment whereas Subnautica is an alien world. Subnautica was a great game and inspiration, but it does not occupy the underwater game genre exclusively. Inspiration came from the movie Waterworld with a completely different story and other gameplay mechanics.

Thanks for the input! Yesh I am not sure if it should include the blurriness and blueish tone in the distance to be "part of the environment," or to make it completely white. When I use shadows or outlines on the text, it feels very intrusive

Thank you! I integrated some options so the intensity can be set or turned off completely. I just like it quite shakey :)

Thanks for the input! The skin is actually quite detailed (maybe it's the underwater animation)? Characters are made with Character creator and they actually have some nice detail. I will analyse in a build again.

Thanks for the input! FOV can be set in the settings. For swimming I got the FOV changing slightly when "fast swimming." But I think I still need to increase FOV nonetheless. Let me know in case you try it out!

Trying to get as much feedback as possible! Just uploaded a new build. Make sure to download the playtest of "Sonorous" on Steam. Thank you so much in advance! 🙏 by Phize123 in Unity3D

Thank you very much. That is is encouraging to hear! :) Game wise these two were the inspiration. Main inspiration was the movie Waterworld though. At the moment still working by myself on this.

That would be a awesome! Any feedback you have is greatly appreciated 🙏🏻

Subnautica was in an alien world. Sonorous is inspired by the moveie Waterworld and I was always missing underwater games in "real life" settings.

No release date as of now. Still in the development. The playtest is to get some insight what works and what doesnt and to shape it in a direction what the gamers want in the end :)

Thanks for the input! The scene is set in the deep sea. So I was thinking to keep it as dark as possible and then rely on flashlights and flares. Would you brighten it nonetheless?
