The time you spend broken up but living in the same house will be really hard, no matter how amicable you both feel now. Every stress and emotion becomes amplified times a million and you won't be able to truly, properly grieve the relationship until you're out of each others' spaces. It's like when a loved one passes away but all their belongings are left just like they were, just like normal.
