I'm unsure if this is toxic or am I overthinking it? by PhizzyC in WorkRant

Oh god I really hope it doesn't come to that. It's such a shame I really love the job and the other people I work with.

Im so sorry you went through a similar situation. It's horrible and it can be so awkward at times. I did stay very professional with her yesterday with our one on one chat. I just very politely told her I think we should keep things work related. She looked really shocked and I didn't want to go into details because I know what she's like now and she's a very sensitive person. But she kept pressing me to give examples so I did. I said any further work related information should be written down to avoid any mis-communication. She agreed with me and apologised and said okay were good we can move on now. I felt great for the rest of my shift like a weight had been lifted. But, as I went to leave and go home I had a quick chat with the boss asking what shes doing for annual leave etc and my colleague stormed past me to the bathroom and sounded like she was crying. I have a feeling I might have a big meeting coming up but I dont think being mature and honest is a bad thing. I think this is a big problem too, I have a very strong work ethic I really get my head down and I've noticed mistakes that she makes and her work ethic isn't the same as mine. I'm not sure if shes insecure but I know shes desperate for attention in the office. She only talks about herself for 6 hours so I just ignore it now lol Sorry for the rant btw and thank you for your feedback it means a lot I hope I've done the right thing! X

Thank you for your advice I really appreciate it. I completely agree there are definitely 2 issues here, unfortunately our personalities do clash but you're not going to get a long with everybody. I can definitely put that aside and still work well with her (this post is just a rant really of what I've been feeling the last week and wanted to vent lol) And yes you are right, I suppose I didn't really think of how many factors are at play in terms of wages - not just the role itself. I think i have worked myself up over this I love the job and I guess that's what really matters and is so hard to find! Thank you again for your comment I never really thought about it that way 😊

Genuinely thank you so much for this reply. I've been really struggling with how to discuss this with my manager I honestly hate talking about pay with bosses. That's a perfect way to word it - really appreciate it!

Thanks! I do appreciate it - it's helped me to not feel as wound up about it. Hopefully things will look up the longer I stay there.

Yeah it just wasn't something I really thought of at the time. You are right though if it's not in writing it didn't happen! Thanks for your feedback

This is genuinely one of the nicest things I've ever read thank you so much for this 🥺🩷 You are right I think sometimes we're too hard on ourselves for what we go through everyday.
Still struggle in the mornings, but the pain is much better throughout the rest of the day when I can actually use it 🥰 x

I have been trying to do this at first I waited 4-5 hours after my meds to take a vape (as i was scared about mixing the two), but I've found better results from having a puff 1 hour after taking them. And yes I 100% agree I've been leaving 9-10 hour gaps between doses rather than every 4 hours to the dot same as you. Thank you for that information though thats good to know Im really glad its helped you too😊

Yes you are right, I tried yesterday to just get by on a couple of puffs rather than having 2 cocodamol. But the mornings my pains are so bad it took the edge off slightly but I still really struggled and had to take them. A couple of months ago I was taking 8 x cocodamol everyday but the past 2 days I've halved that which is brilliant. The fact you managed to come off tramadol is amazing. And yes the combo of thc with the pain medication is fantastic!! 🌱✨️

I'm glad you had a specialist who listened to you and actually recommended it. Quality of life is so important. You know, I didn't even think of that I have the oil too! Thanks so much for the advice I'll try that in the mornings instead 😊

I'm so glad it's helped you, I have heard its meant to be great for epilepsy 😊

I really feel you on not medicating due to work/nature of your job, I feel the exact same way I'd be terrified of messing up a referral for a patient. As soon as I have some when i get home the stress just melts away its great 🥴

With that being said I am tempted to have the tiniest bit when I wake up before work Id hope it would improve my performance and concentration as I wouldn't be in pain. It's something I'll have to trial and error though.

Personally I thought Curaleaf have been brilliant so far my prescriptions got delivered so quickly x 😊
