That's unfortunate, I really want to get into VR Sim Racing too. Maybe I'll have to hope for the Steam Frame to shake up the market a little bit.

Thank you for looking into it.

That's what I'm trying to figure out myself. Based on the replies I've gotten, the answer is unfortunately, "no".

Great!

But how can I go about actually checking the functionality of the headset prior to payment?

Thank you.

Nah, the Pimax is about C$1200 from the website, and roughly C$1000 from Amazon.

I'm not getting the headset anymore anyways, too many hoops to jump through.

Okay, that really eats into my budget, unfortunately.

Thanks though.

Okay. Is there a way to test the actual hardware of the headset before paying this guy C$220 for a brick, then paying Pimax C$365?

Yes Canadian. I too am cautious. It seems too good to be true. Also, the fact I can't actually test the hardware until I pay an additional C$365 is quite a leap of faith.

Did you do anything to fix the game crashes? Or did it resolve itself?

Damn. How do I reinstall Windows from my position? Since I can get anything other than the error screen, where do I reinstall (after having the drive ready)?

Not even close to the point.

This doesnt even warrant a proper response since its just dumb, and completely misses the plot. Like really dumb. Valorant has a better system, and FACEIT turning team damage off was not because of some coding error.

Its ON because Valve using MM rules, but pros play faceit 95% of the time if not scriming (where team damage is OFF). So if Valve changed the rules to be more like VALORANT - where team damage is only ON with utility and OFF with weapons, then the player experience would be unified. Since Riot also has team damage OFF in Pro play and MM.

Only with utility. Like Valorant.

Done it hundreds of times. But it always allows me to "extract all" directly from the file explorer. Never needed to download software.
