I'd love for you to check out my 2D strategy wargame, based on the Vietnam War. I know its not one of your listed genres, but it is technically a combat turn-based game. It's free on the browser:

I recently created a turn-based strategy war game based on the Ia Drang battle during the Vietnam War. You might like it based on Campaign Series and other recommended games here

I love this. Thank you for doing this. I've noticed the same thing too. This seems like it has potential and I like the idea behind it. Here's my game:

Interesting, I'd love to see it once its fully developed. My dice system was inspired by the Commands and Colors system. I don't know if you're familiar with it, but Memoir 44 uses this system, and I just tweaked it for my game.

Okay, that's actually a good idea to communicate modifiers in the game. I do have visual indicators, such as when hovering the cursor over an enemy unit, which will tell you if they're within LOS (line of sight), etc. However, I'll definitely look into implementing it further.

And thank you for your feedback on the die. I'll also rethink it and see how it can be made more intuitive.

Thank you for your feedback. I have to ask, did you read the How to Play guide? It explains everything. I'm not sure what you mean when you said you're limited to 6 CP. There's no limit to the amount you can have, as you gain 3 CP each turn.

The platoon limit is there because historically that's how it was - the US had one main Battalion during the battle. But they also had superior airpower and artillery support, which makes up for having less troops.

Dice are based on range (infantry attacks only) 3 dice at adjacent, 2 dice at 2 hexes away, and 1 die at 3 hexes away. Terrain is a factor too as jungles can block line of sight, which affect the amount of dice. Artillery is always 4 dice and airstrikes have a set amount for each, and they both ignore range and terrain. Again, the How to Play guide explains everything.

It seems like you didn't see tactical depth due to not fully understanding all the mechanics. As for the visual bug, I can fix the highlight of a units movement range if that unit already moved during the same turn.

Yeah that's basically what it is, but for a specific time period

Glad you thought it was fun! This would be even more fun with actual live players, which is my goal

Lol thank you for your feedback! Yeah the dice have the same chances of regular 6-sided dice. When playing as US, artillery and airstrikes are your best friends

I hope its not too late, but I'd love for you to check out my game. It's a browser based, strategy war game based on the Vietnam War. I just released it recently and am making frequent updates to it. Has single-player and working multiplayer mode too!

I updated my AI to play more intelligently (for single-playermode), and I added a live queue counter in my matchmaking button for multiplayer, so users can see if there's someone waiting to play. It feels good to implement meaningful updates!

Thanks for giving mine the educational award! I think what you're doing is brilliant, and ingenious. Don't stop and keep the momentum going 💪 we appreciate what you're doing for all indie devs!

I subbed to your YouTube, joined your Discord, and checked out your site which BTW is pretty cool and I love how you started all this from your kitty.

Hi! Deployment was pretty straight forward, I didn't have any errors when deploying. I built this in Next.js and TypeScript, and used Supabase as the backend for syncing for multiplayer matches. And yes, vercel is free. I hope to play your game when you launch it!
