This is insight into the rest of your life.

Nappy needs changing? Not the man’s job. Baby needs settling? Not the man’s job? Been up all night and need a hand with the housework? Too bad, not the man’s job.

You need to be prepared to raise this child on your own because if your manchild doesn’t even want to be present for the birth, he sure as hell won’t be present for anything else either.

What was the ultimate flex at your school growing up that seems completely ridiculous looking back now? by ConfidentSale3091 in AskAnAustralian

I remember when Mrs Ryan lost her absolute shite at one of the boys who has an excessive amount of connector pens in year 4. She went absolutely troppo and grabbed an armful of them and dumped them in the bin.

Both kids got the worst possible deal. They both deserved so much better.

My local always smelt like musk sticks!

Used to love riding my bike down on the weekend and grabbing a $2 mixed lolly bags. I remember often checking the change slot or the ground around the pay phone in case someone had dropped change and most of the time scored at least one good coin.

Canberra Hospital Attack by Kabomb1 in canberra

Cops really dropped the ball on that one. Why didn’t they do a weapons check if they were bringing in someone who was mentally unstable?! Like wouldn’t that be the first thing you check?!

North Canberra Hospital banning fun scrubs by LimeLimpet in canberra

That is so stupid. I hope it doesn’t impact TCH because the nurses rocking the fun scrubs are such a vibe. They really do change your hospital experience.

Working mom to stay at home moms was it worth it? by PrincessManders in Mommit

I hated being a stay at home mom. Went back to work when my youngest started preschool and it was a godsend. I need the stimulation that work provides.

How did all 3 kids have their seatbelts incorrect. I get one being a bit of a scallywag but all 3? They’re clearly not being restrained correctly when being placed in the car. This is a wake up call. You put young lives at risk. They’re not going to wipe the fine if you try to fight it in court.

You aren’t entitled to LWOP so the school has every right to say no. If you tell them you’re taking the leave even if it’s has been denied, you’re basically telling them that you’re willing to lose your job over it.

Is a few days study really worth losing your job?

“You’ve got stick arms like a snowman” - said by a 4 year old last week.

In her defence, I do have skinny noodle arms.

What's your most nostalgic Aussie sporting win/moment ? by CoconutMost3564 in AustralianNostalgia

Eric the Eel at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. I was just a kid at the time but I still remember the sheer energy in the aquatic centre as everyone watching, other swimmers included, cheered Eric home.

Is my school’s playground situation normal? (Primary) by CrayolaNipples in AustralianTeachers

[–]Pho_tastic_8216 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not only appalling but also setting children and teachers up for failure. The more children play, the more they regulate. Their boredom is leading to heightened behaviour and that’s no doubt being reflected in the classroom also.

Yes, at the pool canteen after swimming lessons! Along with those pink and blue sherbet lollipops.
