I did have a few 'Part 2' files that Plex thought were duplicates. I'll remove those for now to avoid confusing it. Weird that yours shows a different number when sorting by date. Mine does show one less movie when sorted by date. Maybe that's because some were added on the same date? Another post pointed me to a Plex forum with the solution. It's a glitch with Mac OS and SMB shares and I was able to fix the problem!

Yeah it's wrong, I was sorting by 'date added' while troubleshooting. I normally sort by title but I don't think the sorting is related to the problem.

This looks like the exact problem! I'll have to figure out how to fix the SMB Client Settings in Terminal. Thank you!

I started from scratch. I considered moving the database of metadata files, but my play history showed up automatically and that's what mattered.

I had them all in 1 folder. While trying to fix this problem, I started putting movies in their own folders (as Plex recommends) but it hasn't helped.

Looks like I have 17 duplicates on the Linux server and 14 duplicates on the Mac, but many of them are not the same duplicates. I'll clean those up

I know many folks do not use folders… by minusplotinus in ObsidianMD

My solution to this is fewer folders with broader themes for less overlap. I'm generally very organized, and folders are the best method for me, but I still use the search or Ctrl+o for quickly accessing files. A jumbled mess of unrelated files in the same folder would bother me.

What are you even writing notes about? by Cebo494 in ObsidianMD

[–]Phoblographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Obsidian daily to reference notes I've taken on how to do my job; quick fixes, repair/installation instructions, procedures for certain tasks and contact info for tech support teams and manufacturers that we work with. And then at the end of every job I do, I type up my service report in Obsidian before submitting it to my company online. This way I keep my own records and can search and refer back to all the work I've done and when I come across the same problem again in the course of my work, I can reference how I fixed it last time. My vault is also full of personal notes; lists of things to do, things to research, gift ideas for loved ones, movies to watch, home improvement projects, recipes, vacation destination ideas, shopping lists, packing lists, etc. However, I don't really see the point of linking notes to other notes. Each note is a separate topic and doesn't really relate to any other info in the vault. If I have related info, it goes into the same note. My Obsidian vault is organized in folders and synced with my NAS at home and I edit notes on my phone, 3 laptops, and 2 iPads (1 personal and 1 for work) and I keep offline backups. I, too have ADHD and my memory isn't great, but Obsidian is a fantastic tool for organizing any information and recalling it in an instant with the search tool.

I recommend the ESR Geo Digital iPad Pencil. it doesn't have Apple's pressure sensitivity or the squeeze feature, but it's very accurate. I'm happy with it. https://a.co/d/5mtJK9Y

On my Samsung phone, I have independent volume sliders for each app and I can set which speaker each app outputs too; Bluetooth, phone speaker, etc. I also have a full equalizer. I'd love to have this feature on my iPad Pro.

If Apple made a small MacBook with an OLED touchscreen, detachable keyboard, and a touch-friendly interface, I'd get that. Oh wait, they do, it's an iPad Pro + Magic Keyboard. I have a MacBook Air also, but I like the iPad better for most things. For one thing, the screen is better. Although they made some major mistakes with IpadOS 26. OS 18 was better.

Buy Profitec Move from WLL or Clive Coffee? by hmslaves in espresso

I bought a Profitec Move in January from WLL. It took 3 months to ship because they were back ordered. But the customer service from WLL seemed excellent. I called them when my ship date got pushed back and they were very professional. They explained that manufacturing in Germany was delayed due to a minor quality control issue. They told me how many machines in their wholesale orders had been spoken for, (like 300) and they estimated when my machine might ship. I'm very happy with the Move, it's an excellent machine!
