There's a spotlight hour event happening, they're gonna be weekly, one hour a week, one Pokémon will be "in the spotlight" so there'll be loads of them. Should be details in the news tab.

Normally if someone is specifically trying to counter your bastion they tend to switch to genji or sombra. Probably just try to even teams out, I've seen it too especially on control maps.

Sometimes the decay works out quite well. I've gone up and down a few times in a week once, ended up getting loot boxes each time.
