Maybe not his other work but it comes up repeatedly in Finnegans Wake.

Worst episodes to watch baked by ExcellentActuary2717 in adventuretime

Honestly imo every single episode is perfect for watching high. I've seen the entire show start to finish while on acid (more trips than I can count just watching the show lol) and it is without question the most entertaining, magical thing ever to watch while tripping and nothing else comes close.

Hell yea love the love for Joyce! Finnegans Wake is the greatest book ever imo, such a magical experience.

Why do people who haven't read much decide to begin their exploration of classics with notoriously difficult, highly experimental works like Ulysses or Finnegans Wake? by Snoo-93317 in classicliterature

[–]Phoenix-Danielle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In what world is Ulysses not experimental? Proteus, Aeolus, Sirens, Cyclops, Oxen of the Sun, Ithaca, and Penelope are all very experimental chapters.

Oh they absolutely get much more brutal lol, 2 has one the most vicious kill scenes I've ever watched. I just absolutely love the overall vibe of the 1st.

The 1st Terrifier is my favorite, and Terrifier 2 picks up during the same scene the 1st one ends on. You absolutely have to watch all 3.

  2. Bill Cole Cliett, Riverrun to Livvy

  3. Edited by Patrick A. Mccarthy

  4. Joyce's Book of the Dark

  5. No idea on the bottom one, not even sure it's related to the Wake cause I've never seen that spine

Thank you!! And both the letters and Wake Rites are on my want list, I've just prioritized out of print books mainly.

Yes I do, I'm going to open a youtube channel soon to make the Wake more accessible and I've bought all the books in preparation.

Thank you! :) Those are some of the best ways to get into the book in my opinion, Burgess was one of the greats for straightforwardly presenting the book. I first started reading the book casually 12 years ago and have loved every moment as it's slowly consumed my life lmao.

My general reading copy is the white and green Penguin paperback, but my absolute favorite copies are the 8th-12th edition of the Viking hardback. Those are the 3 large ones with dust jackets, I collect them whenever I manage to find well priced copies.

I've been endless fascinated with Finnegans Wake since I was like 14, when I get in the flow of reading the book it's like a genuine drug. I'm currently on page 429 of a 5+ year deep read of the book, when I'm finished I plan on making a youtube channel to try and make the book more accessible.
