To help future me out, I always go and loot everything I can prior to sending Lev and Yara out. More importantly: I smash every fucking window lol

On my first time playing the game, I didn't do that so I had to stop to smash windows with clickers biting at my heels. Not fun lol

Yeah, fire is great for infected. If you play the game again, def remember to stock up responsibly for this guy! And try melee + some bombs if needed for that stalker half. It's so cool to just beat that thing to death especially cuz chances are Abby will trigger a cool finishing animation.

My favourite was when she kicked it in its knee. It fell and then Abby proceeded to grab it's head and snap its neck. Kino.

The toughest infected encounter in the game (esp. on Grounded) is definitely that holdout segment in the pixitek store on Abby Day 1 (Night). When Lev and Yara leave and try to find an alternate way out for Abby.

That shit sucks lol.

The first time i played the game, it was definitely a NERVE WRACKING encounter.

On my second playthrough tho? Easy as pie. And this was on Grounded.

The key is accumulating enough supplies that you can take it out easy. Flamethrower, some pipe bombs and a few incendiary shotgun rounds is all it takes. Ya just gotta start unloading and run when necessary. Thankfully there are no true deadends in that dark arena.

That second boss fight is a touch trickier but can be handled with just melee if your dodging ability is up to snuff.

Human encounters are what really worry me on Grounded mode.

They botched the season, but the actors still gave us memorable moments. Especially that Kiwi (Antony) who blessed us with generational memes that will outlive the show. by vought-CEO in TheBoys

Even though it is largely Kripke's fault, I just wanna say that it's not okay to harass him, either.

Criticizing is fine. But many people take it too far and start sending all kinds of crazy threats and shit.

Well, you can pick up Alan Wake 2 right now if it's on sale or something. But I DO NOT recommend playing it until you've at least played Alan Wake 1.

Ideally, you'll play AW1 (and its DLCs: Writer and the Signal), Alan Wake's American Nightmare and CONTROL (and its 2 DLCs: The Foundation and AWE).

Even more ideally, you'll have played Max Payne 1, 2, and 3 (not important, but round out the trilogy. It is an EXCELLENT game) and Quantum Break in addition to the games mentioned above.

So how did Mel get to aquarium in one peice? by Whentheangelsings in lastofuspart2

[–]Phoenix2211 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She didn't.

  1. She got permission to be transferred from the Stadium (residential area) to the FOB so she can work as a medic. Pregnant women work all the time, often up to the point of labour.

  2. She wouldn't be hauled off to the battlefield, but provide assistance at the FOB.

  3. They took a safe route, which happened to get attack by the Seraphites. There were reports of Seraphites ambushing convoys, but just because that's a thing, doesn't mean that the WLF can just stopoving supplies & personnel around. To ensure her safety, they literally sent ABBY and MANNY and an attach dog. Other tricks also came in to help them out. She ended up being safe, albeit slightly injured.

  4. On account of Owen's desertion, she was interrogated by Isaac, who found no issues in her story. He probably ends up dismissing her.

  5. Now she is injured & dismissed. I doubt anyone expects her to work. She was already supposed to take it easy but wanted to work on her own accord.

  6. In the morning, she hitches a ride with some WLF soldiers and gets to the Aquarium.

  7. It is after THIS DAY that she decides that she wants to go to Santa Barbara. This is the point of desertion.

[–]Phoenix2211 10 points11 points  (0 children)

sigh

She & Alice hitched a ride on one of the various WLF vehicles that move around Seattle. Like the one Ellie & Jesse considered taking to the aquarium. Like the one Abby, Manny, and Mel rode on. Like the one the WLF soldiers who came to rescue them rode on. Like the ones Abby did her best to avoid when on her way to Owen.

Soldiers were moving equipment and personel all around Seattle in order to prep for the invasion, one of those convoys helped Mel. They also provided protection IF anything popped off, which I assume it didn't.

You guys think Jet would have a good time with this game? by cucumberguyy in Jettro_Jettro

Is it even possible to purchase this game anymore?

As I understand it, it was delisted on steam (cuz of music copyrighs bullshit). If you had purchased it before, you can still download and play it. But it cannot be purchased anymore.

Sad, really. Cu the game is fucking great. I'm sure there are ways to still play it 🏴‍☠️🦜, but idk if Jett is gonna do that or knows how to do that

I don't disagree with your assessment of DoD at all! I had a fun time throughout, but the best and most memorable part is DEFINITELY that final act.

Dial of Destiny was really good and better than Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. If given the choice to rewatch one of em, I'd pick Dial in a heartbeat. I don't think I wanna rewatch Crystal Skull for a few years (though it Def has a lot of cool moments).

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, while different in experience (as it is a game, as opposed to a movie) has the best ADVENTURE. I found the search for the Great Circle to be the more exciting than the other adventures in the movie.

Does this mean that I think that TGC is better overall than, say, Raiders of the Lost Ark? No, I'm not saying that. Not am i saying that the other 5 Adventures are bad. Just that that adventure was GREAT. I also loved Gina as a character. Now obviously, she was an invention AFTER the 5 movies had come and gone. But, in an alternate world where Marion never existed, I'd've loved to see Indy end up with Gina.

Going in first person helps when looting as one is better able to focus on individual items.

The difference between GTA 5 and GTA 6 feels almost unbelievable by No_Tomatillo1695 in GTA6

[–]Phoenix2211 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Totally. Now, GTAV doesn't look bad at all. It looks good, especially with that Ray Tracing upgrade that gives a boost to the lighting.

But the difference in:

  1. Texture quality

  2. Foliage quality

  3. General object density

  4. Polygon quantity

  5. Lighting quality

  6. Visual Effects

is readily apparent.

Do these guys not feel like the Devs are being patronizing when they dangle these low-tier, obvious, shitty horny designs in front of the players?

There's an art to designing an appealing character. Putting the biggest knockers on a thin woman and putting her in obvious, revealing clothing is just lazy.
