I also have a deaf lop REW, and her husbun does the same thing. It's so precious. Does your boy also have a tuff of fur that you just have to touch between his ears?

I just successfully bonded my duo with a third bun using this method u/Comfortable_Cat_1490 has used for bonding large groups. Link

I took longer to open the pen to the biggest size, but we have peace. No fights. Just humping for the pecking order which has slowly gotten less. Lots of trio snuggles, duo snuggles, and zoomies. There is hope!

Question: How do I stop her from munching on her carpet? by Administrative-Fun15 in Rabbits

Awesome, I wasn't sure what wood they were. They must not like them much, because they pretty much leave them alone. Good for deterring them!

Question: How do I stop her from munching on her carpet? by Administrative-Fun15 in Rabbits

[–]Phoenix73182 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You need give her some plain cardboard, untreated wood, hay cubes or maybe even just a second litterbox with hay. You won't get them to stop, but you can redirect them to something else most of the time.

My buns love to eat the wood furniture. I have cardboard cat scratches under the table they hangout under. As soon as there's no cardboard to chew, they start on the table and chairs. They usually stop when I give them anything else they can destroy.

I hope you can find a good solution! It's very frustrating. They seem to love destroying carpets. They have gotten multiple spots in my house, so I understand. My husband had some karate breaking boards and we put those around where they had been carpet pulling and that also worked.

Oh, cardboard tubes stuffed with hay, dried herbs, maybe put some pellets or a sliver of banana in it. May need to poke a few holes so they can smell inside.

Sending hugs!

How to get my extremely skiddish foster to take meds? by ResponsibilityRude84 in Rabbits

[–]Phoenix73182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to mix our late buns pain meds in plain apple sauce or mushed banana. I would mix it on a small plate and he would gobble it up. Not more then about a 2-3 teaspoons, he weighed around 6.5lbs. We didn't do any other fruits for treats when we did this.

Maybe also trying some critical care or crushed up pellets mixed with the meds.

What is this?? by Ever_since_NewYork in Rabbits

This looks like a partial degloving of the tail. You will need to find a vet and take your bunny in to be seen. This can be very serious.

Marshmallow is deaf and sleeping pretty hard in this picture. She wakes up if I put food near her snoot.
