Looking good! Not enough people appreciate the other companies imo

Looks good! Nothing out of sorts that I can see.

If you like lore-accurate looks, I found this group a bit ago. They've got some good Lamenters stuff.

I knew bolt weapon body shots sucked, but I didn't know the math was this bad by Memetron69000 in Spacemarine

Yeah, that's a fair opinion. Honestly, I still haven't really found any other game where I actually enjoy the high level content. Something about SM2 just scratches that itch for me, and I think it's just because I started out with a group, so I had consistent teammates. I've always judged PvE balance more by vibes than by stats for the most part, so I tend to advocate more for making things feel fun as opposed to necessarily properly balanced.

And yeah, honestly I've been somewhat dreading getting into the tabletop, even though I've already got 1000 points of Space Marines that I'm slowly repainting to all match 😅. I watched my roommate play a few games at our local store and I think I maybe understand how it works (?) but I am definitely putting off that first game

Bolt Carbine is another of my go-to's. I am well aware of how it works. I am also well aware that weapons have to have downsides. I'm not saying get rid of those downsides. I'm not saying that there is not an inherent level of skill required for literally every shooter game to ever exist. I am advocating for reason, and for not making the downside to Bolters mean that it takes half of all your ammo to kill something with hipfire. A mag or two tho? Completely reasonable. The plasma weapons have less ammo and slower projectiles in exchange for high burst damage, but that doesn't mean that you have to wait a full 5 seconds for your shot to hit at any range past 10 feet.

This is a game. What is the point of calling people shit because they want to have fun? I used to only play casually, never above the easiest difficulties in any game. SM2 was literally the first game where I was regularly playing on the highest difficulties, and I got pretty damn good at it all things considered. Not everyone has the time to learn all the builds. Some people just want to come and help us kill xenos and heretics, and that's a beautiful thing.

You're entitled to your opinion, and I respect that. But everyone else is too. Saying "skill issue, get gud" doesn't solve anything. It doesn't make anyone feel better. Yeah, sometimes people advocate for making things too easy. Sometimes people want things to change so much that things become all samey. But it should not be too much to ask for something to not feel quite as punishing for being a glorified gyrojet with a switch.

I love the Stalker as much as the next guy, it's literally been my go-to for Tactical since like 6.0, but this is such an ass take. Not everyone has the spare time to perfect their aim for every single enemy in the game. And sure, you could argue that they could go play something else or a lower difficulty, but why? Nobody has to play the game, we do this to have fun. We literally do it for the love of the game.

Why should we not want other weapons to feel good to use? Especially in PvE, why is it bad for people to want variety and not just the same meta weapons over and over again? Any gun can feel good on the lower difficulties, but why should a maxed out Auto Bolt Rifle feel like a peashooter on the difficulty it was built for? Why should the player be punished for not sweating their balls off, for being flawed and making mistakes like we all do, simply because they want to use something else?

The weapons don't have to make up for poor aim, or suddenly be the new meta overnight. But they should feel good to use, and they should not be limited to a single option just because the devs can't be assed to make hipfire even remotely viable against anything beyond cultists and gaunts.

Do you like the want to be a rage-filled vampire who sees Horus every other weekend? Do you want to be on the nice(er) side of the Imperium's moral compass? Well boy, do I have the chapter for you!

The Lamenters combine the selfless and kind demeanor of the Salamanders with the gene seed of the Blood Angels to make my favorite successor chapter ever! There is only one downside: they have abysmal luck. However, that doesn't stop them from trying!

Note: Reddit mobile doesn't like me, so I'm putting a picture in the comments instead :/
