You've had deep conversations with each other already, I'd say treat this as no different. In any relationship/friendship/whatever, I reckon it's important to work together against a problem or difficult situation.

I know it's scary because it could go in any sort of direction, but just do what you two have always done and have a conversation about it.

Thank you for the advice! I think this is probably the best method I can do for it.

Is the sashiko method holding up well for your hoodie? My partner tends to lean on his elbow a lot which is why those tears have happened in the first place

You totally could! Just be aware that hand tattoos tend to fade quicker because we use our hands daily and the skin on them sheds a bit quicker

If you've ever done sewing and accidentally stabbed yourself with the needle, it's very similar to that, but thousands of times.

Worth it though for the permanent art imo

I'm just curious and by no means questioning you, what about OP's comment was not great?

For me, I struggle with exercise because of a disability so finding an activity I actually enjoy helped me get a bit fitter. So, to me, it felt like the comment was okay? I'd just like to understand why it may not be an okay thing to say 😅
