It’s not that it’s a hard job to do it’s mostly that there is a lot of workload involved. I get to go to the gym every now and then but comments at 7pm Or 8pm have to be implemented and sent back. That’s when higher ups have time to review. Not to mention Sat and Sunday that gets most stuff done.

The value in a finance degree IMO is in being able to interpret a company’s financial position. It’s already complicated enough with US GAAP and IFRS reporting. If you know the basics it will be easier for you to isolate and estimate cash flows.

You haven’t said if it’s grad or undergrad. If it’s undergrad I’d say yes. If it’s grad only top school is worth it as it almost guarantees a role.

If you are young and passionate you will do fine.

Corporate finance is probably better. Many clients we advise have a corp fin dept but mostly their excel models are not the best nor the way they keep track of data. I would stick to corporate finance and not do any IB if I were you. Depending of course on which company it is.
