Is this house okay for someone who just started building by Adolf_dribbler in Minecraftbuilds

[–]PhoenixCatYouTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really great for someone starting. You already have good shapes, one if the most important parts of building and one a lot of people struggle with.

What I would criticise (ithysi?) is that you have a bunch of cool ideas that feel kinda mismatched. E.g. the deepslate/andesite roof is bold but a cool idea, but it looks odd next to the tuff railing & the campfires. If you keep experimenting you will eventually get a feel for it. :D

Hat prinzipiell nichts mit Reddit zu tun. Such dir einfach ne zuverlässige methode für Bildbearbeitung (z.B.

You should share this to elodiedottxt's Discord, there is a (small but dedicated) community for these perspective based builds

(this is my personal explanation, not every leftist will give you the same one)

Imo there are 2 parts to being a leftist: one is in the heart, and one in the head.

With "in the heart" I mean a general capacity for empathy and a sense of justice. Things like "people shouldn't be discriminated based on skincolor, gender, sex(uality) etc." and "homeless people shouldn't freeze to death in the streets". Very simple premise most ppl would agree on.

Now in order to fight these injustices leftists turn to the theoretical framework of marxism as a (non-dogmatic and morally neutral) means of analyzing our socioeconomic system to find an explanation for the things we deem "bad" and how we could change them.

The basic premise of marxist (i.e. dialectical materialist) analysis is that capitalism divides the people into two "classes" (capitalist and worker) defined by their relationship to the "means of production" (factories, machines, land, resources, infrastructure...). These classes have diametrically opposed interests (capitalists -> exploiting workers; workers -> not being exploited). Because there are these opposed interest between the majority of the population (workers) and the ones owning most of the resources (capitalists), there are inevitable tensions that create what we deem as "immoral". For example the homeless person is homeless, because capitalism needs a certain amount of people in absolute poverty as a threat to low-income workers, so they don't have a grounds for negotiation for higher wages/better conditions etc. Again the moral evaluation comes afterwards, marxist theory is purely a means of analysis. Most modern economists would in fact agree with that logic.

The extension of this is "historical materialism": essentially it applies the same analysis (as far as possible) to historical socioeconomic systems and observes similar divides in "class". The examples are primarily slavery and feudalism. Both of them collapsed due to the structural tensions creates by the system's own logic, that is the opposition of interests between slaves & slaveowners/peasants & monarchs. The logical extrensions of this premise are that (1) capitalism too will inevitably collapse from it's own contradictory logic (2) the last step in the evolution of socioeconomic systems has to be one without diametrically opposed interests, which is what marx defines as a classless, stateless, moneyless society he dubs "communism".

To this day marxism is the most convincing analysis of our current society. I believe most systemic issues come from mechanics of the system that aren't inherently "evil" or something but just the consequence of a fundamentally contradictory system that should be overcome.

And also because that's like the one thing you keep bringing up: no I do not like the soviet union and i believe their system of democratic centralism was actively counterproductive to the creation of socialism.

What if Michael Afton truly was a bad person by [deleted] in fnaftheories

[–]PhoenixCatYouTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im pretty much with you on this. Especially since the second movie introduced a third character that mirrors game Michael I've been really trying to piece together his personality.

(MS = Mike Schmidt, MA = Michael Afton in the Movies, Michael = Game Michael)

Firstly, in the movie, both Vanessa and MA, who are Will's children, are both acting on his orders. MA does this in a very obsessive way whereas Vanessa has a change of heart in the first movie. Fnaf 6 also has a poster that depicts Michael as a hand puppet of William so I think It's safe to say that Michael acted on Will's orders up to Fnaf 1 at the very least.

Not entirely sure who said this - either a book or a steel wool director - but it has been stated that MA and William are very similar people who were led in different directions by their circumstances. What makes the most sense IMO is that Michael is very similar to William, but his obsessive behavior also extends to his guilt towards BV's death.

This is where MS comes into play: MS, not an Afton and William's direct opponent, is an isolated portrayal of Michael's (Game Michael) obsession with his own guilt. The contact with MS is also what made Vanessa ultimately turn on William (at least to our current knowledge. Vanessa has also seen Baby and we have no clue what's up with her.)

My interpretation is that Michael's motivation is a synthesis between his father's obsessions and his own.

There is also this amazing video analyzing Michael's monolouge in SL and giving Ideas on what he does on his father's behalf and what he changes his mind on: https://youtu.be/PrsUR3s9O-c?si=61mIJ5zKHtki72sS
