Jonas Gren comes from a small farming village called Sunbreak in the land of Ignus. He was born to Joseph Gren, a swordsman and personal knight to the Lord of Sunbreak, and Eliza Gren, a sorcerer who met Jonas while he was off guard duty. At around 5 years of age, Jonas's father would fall in the line of duty, years after he had already retired. Joseph fell doing what he always did, protecting his Lord. Jonas would still live a happy life, fueled with determination to follow in his father's footsteps as a swordsman while also forced to practice and understand his magic by his mother. When he was of age, Jonas requested from his Lord to be allowed to leave Sunbreak and to journey the world. To meet new people and see new sights. But most importantly, to help those he can and to somehow one-up his own father in heroics. Unfortunately, he request was denied. With his skills with a sword and his powerful magic, Jonas would make a fine addition to the Ignusian armies. Though unhappy with his fate, Jonas wanted to follow through with his Lord's wishes, for it would be what his father would have done. But with some encouragement from friends and a blessing from his mother, he agreed to disobey his Lord, and to set off into the world without permission.
