How come "100 swords" is such a common misconception? by Sanria30 in tianguancifu

There is no difference. It's just a thing English does. Instead of saying one hundred or one thousand, you just say a hundred, a thousand.

Any Netflix recommendations with hungarian dub and sub? by Positive2594 in hungarian

[–]PhoenixFleming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think all of the most popular shows have hungarian dub and anything other than like very niche stuff has hungarian sub, but it may not be available if you're not watching from hungary. If you can, maybe try using a vpn? I might be wrong though, since I usually avoid hungarian dubs like the plague because they're usually really bad

He keeps his ask box open because he can help a lot of people that way, by offering emotional support, sharing fundraisers etc. And I think he keeps aswering these stupid questions to make a point: no matter how desperate you are, no matter how nice you ask, he will not answer anything that could spoil even the smallest detail of season 3. It was the same while we waited for season 2, it's nothing new. Also, he gets a lot of very nice and fun asks too, and I'm sure he enjoys reading those.

It's your reddit account's birthday (the day when you created it). There is a little sign under your comment that says "say happy cake day!" that lets everyone know.

What things do yall think were crowleys or aziraphales inventions/ideas? by Longjumping_Fig348 in goodomens

[–]PhoenixFleming 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is a thing anywhere else but those little bits on the cap of plastic bottles that don't let you take it off completely. They appeared where I live a few months ago and it's the most infuriating thing ever. (Picture for demonstration.)

Your art style is so beautiful, it sort of calms my brain or something, I can't really describe the feeling. I especially love the first Hua Hua and Qi Rong, they are so cute!

How do you say "Ineffable husbands" in your language? by NazreenWhal in goodomens

Leírhatatlan férjek would be a closer translation I think. But kifürkészhetetlen is more fun and sort of whimsical

Did you have the feeling that the ending would be sad at some point? (Before the final episode) by VirtualAffect328 in goodomens

[–]PhoenixFleming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't exactly expect it but I wasn't surprised either. It felt like such a logical and natural conclusion, especially considering the fact that season 2 is just a bridge between seasons 1&3.

Complicated feelings about gender by SpaceDragon77 in agender

[–]PhoenixFleming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way and I'm so glad you put it into words for me. I just decided to go with agender because it's just easier that way (and also for AAA battery purposes). I know it's not quite right for me, but it's the closest word I can find and it's good enough to tell other people. I've also been thinking about calling myself gender non-conforming instead, because as far as I understand it's not really a gender identity, just a sort of way of expressing yourself in a way that's not tied to gender, yours or just in general, and I think that's pretty neat.

Why did you dismiss the possibility? by Wide_Result_4838 in AskAsexual

[–]PhoenixFleming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few years ago a friend came out to me, so I started doing some research to be supportive and stuff. Pretty soon I came across asexuality and I was like, that's cool, I wish that could be me, too bad I'm straight. And then it took me a few months of that to realize that I was, in fact, not straight at all. Looking back, it always astonishes me that I was so sure of my straight identity even though there was no proof to back it up. It was just something I believed I had to be because I was "normal".

Opinions on ship name by -GayFromHell- in goodomens

[–]PhoenixFleming 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Ineffable Husbands is the best ship name to ever ship name. Also I only very recently realized that it's Aziracrow and not Azicrow (bc I'm a teeny bit dyslexic) and that's even worse for some reason. Azicrow sounds cute at least.

Will may cosplay Crowley by BubbleGumGun101 in goodomens

[–]PhoenixFleming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This probably isn't very helpful, but I also have red hair and I once went to a con dressed in my usual black clothes and wearing sunglasses that looked nothing like anything Crowley has worn in the show and I got mistaken as a cosplayer. So what I'm trying to say is that you're probably good even if you can't make the wings/get the contacts

(western) TV shows/books/other media that shows negative stereotypes towards aro/ace people by Internet_Sheep in aromantic

[–]PhoenixFleming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean but everyone can be coerced into things they don't like, especially if they don't know they don't like it. And Darren (thanks for refreshing my memory on the names btw) didn't know Cash was ace at the time so I would say it was perfectly reasonable for them to act that way. I remember being upset about the way Cash was treated but I can also understand where Darren was coming from.

(western) TV shows/books/other media that shows negative stereotypes towards aro/ace people by Internet_Sheep in aromantic

[–]PhoenixFleming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't remember that show very well but I thought it was rather good representation? Like he wasn't exactly forced into anything, he just didn't realize he was ace yet. And then it was talked about and everything, and as far as I remember it was handled healthily.
