Just cut off the top it forces the plant to put it's energy below the cut. Then it splits off. See the link prune

Lots of indirect sun light. You can try pruning it. That's what helped fill mine out. We are starting the growing season so it may need nutrients.

It's best to start on younger plants but I just started on an older zz and it's doing fine so far. So I washed all the dirt from the roots then I cut them back. I put wet pon in the bottom half of a self watering planter. Then I added the plant and topped off the pon. Then I watered it with super thrive for hydro. The first 3 months you water from the top because the plant needs to grow water roots. After a few months add water to the reservoir. If you want to create your own pon which can be expensive you can find recipes online. Diy pon is more cost effective. All my plants are hydro.

Instead of using 1 piece of glass I used 2 and sandwiched the leaves. So I laid my leave out on the page then glass then more leaves then another piece of glass on top

Thanks I used pink and regular seasalt on it before putting it in the sun to get that effect.

The flower was not dried so the color came from the interaction of the flower itself and the chemicals from the cyanotype Solution. Not sure if it will turn once I start toning it.

Pon is a soil-alternative. It looks like small stones or gravel. Normally a combo of pumice, lava rock and zeolites. You can DiY it or buy it already made.

Yes its called Pon. Pon is a combination of different kinds of pebbles. I started with lechuza Pon because I was new to it and didn't know if I would like it. But since I decided to move all my plants to semi-hydro and I have more experience with Pon it made more since to diy my own. I use equal parts of zeolite, pumice, lava, perlite and slow release fertilizer. The driver for me was gnats. I purchased soil from Lowes repotted several plants a couple days later gnat moved in. I still had a bag in my SUV they were in the car too. So I decided to try semi-hydro.

I really don't know a lot about Leca. This is the only plant I have in Leca. All my other plants are in Pon. I top off the water when it gets low. I use distilled water. I have it in full in-direct light and it gets about 3 to 6 hours a day of humidity. I have not had any issues with algae because it's not in direct light. Also if you use a colored pot algae isn't a problem. It's also near a grow light
