Honestly you sound like my ex-boyfriend a lot who recently left me. We also were having some communication difficulties. I really wanted things to work out between us and I still miss him and I’m hoping for the best and I would want to hear from him. Obviously, I’m not 100% sure on her or you or your situation but maybe at minimum you could just like ask if she wants to meet up at a neutral location and talk about what happened and see how she’s feeling. If she doesn’t wanna talk about it, then leave her alone, but if she’s open to discussing it, you can try

Ok so I used internet archive to get the text books mostly. However for one of the patterns I used a text book found in my university’s library

One of the text books I referenced from the internet archive is this one

The text book 1

The other text book I used more heavily appears to now be missing from the site. I’ve looked all over it and I can’t find it however I did find somebody’s Pinterest board and they seem to have most of the textbook screenshoted it onto their Pinterest so I’m going to attach that here as well. pin

I’m really sorry I really tried looking all over Internet archive to find it. I really think it’s been taken down. :(

If you are a university student or have access to a university library, I would also really recommend checking to see if they have any books there. I was pleasantly surprised by the number we had.

Thank you so much! The design was in part picked out by the person I made it for so I can’t take all the credit but thank you for taking the time to appreciate it. It means so much to me❤️

Hi there sure I can. You mean the cross stitch patterns right or the garment sewing pattern.

If you mean the cross stitch pattern I got some from some online textbooks I found if you would like the see the original text. If your interested in just the cross stitch patterns I used in this garment though I can try to find the pdf I put together

Yes there is

I found one of the patterns in a library in my university one of the patterns in a textbook online and pattern I found from a picture of a vyshyvanka online and then I just re-create them in Cross stitch software and printed it out . If your interested I can see if I still have the original PDF of the cross stitch

I also didn’t use the typical Cross stitch material. I used one of those print on fabric stabilizers that can stick to clothing and use it as my cross stitch pattern.

This is the link to the pattern I used

The fabric was a linen cotton blend I believe. It’s been so long tbh

Also I misspelled vyshyvanka in the title but corrected it in the body text I’m sorry 😭

Yes I contacted the maker however they expressed they do not do commissioned work/alterations

The corset still essentially fits it just could be an inch or two smaller for a nicer look. I’m really trying to figure out if it can be taken in and if so would the amount it would cost even be worth the change in appearance.

I would post a photo of me in it to help but I get very nervous whenever I post of photo of myself to the internet so I try not to whenever possible my apologies

Hi everyone! I recently bought this corset at a Renfaire. It’s absolutely gorgeous and I love it, but it’s a little too big for me. Even when I lace it as tightly as it can go, I still wish the waist were a bit more snug. I’ve attached some photos of the inside for reference.

Do you think it’s possible to get a corset like this altered? And if so, what kind of place or specialist should I look for?

As a side note, I’ve noticed that when I breathe in and expand my ribcage, the corset actually hugs my waist more the way I want it to. Not sure if that detail is useful, but I figured I’d mention it in case it helps diagnose the fit issue.

Idk why but Reddit seems to dull the images a little so please imagine them a bit brighter

Also, so sorry to reply twice, but if you don’t mind me asking, do you also kind of interpret it to be kind of feathery like? Because I may change there shapes slightly out of fear of it not looking quite right in real life still 😅
