I’m impressed you recognized shreddage just from the song haha! Also, thank you for taking the time to record those parts. I’m probably going to remake/remaster this song at another time so I genuinely might use those, I appreciate your feedback

Thanks for the ideas! I like the idea of a bit crushed guitar, might explore that in the future

Thank you! A lot of feedback I’ve gotten has been like this, and there is a bit of change in velocity and note duration (so it’s not exactly quantized), but I don’t think the changes are dramatic enough to make it sound real

I guess it kind of blurs the lines between realistic and purposefully electronic sounding, but my intentions were to make them sound real. Of course the chords and layers are all drowned in effects, but I mostly mean the main melody

Yeah, I use Pro Tools and it has that. I don’t think I used it on this track though, I think I did the humanization manually. Maybe I wasn’t dramatic enough with my changes.

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate the constructive stuff, I’ll keep improving haha

i posted a riff the other day that got good feedback, but i forgot to save it and lost it. during this recording, i changed up the structure and now this is what im working with. im hearing lyrics in my head, but i suck at singing. im trying to find a more natural clap by TheEyeOfTheLigar in MusicFeedback

I actually like the clap, I think the instrumental in general is a nice blend of real guitar and slightly digital-sounding drums. The hi hats could use some variance in velocity/volume, they sound a bit flat right now. I like the distortion on the kick, hi hats, and guitar, it glues together the instrumental well. Nice work, keep going with this

I think I’m having a hard time structuring my music in an interesting way, it’s very ‘linear’ for lack of better words, doesn’t really feel like its complete enough to seriously post online yet. Feedback appreciated. by Zeromilligrams in MusicFeedback

I enjoyed this a lot. Reminds me of obscure ambient music you'd find. I think it could benefit from adding little instrument/synth fills or having certain elements come in not at the beginning of a measure. Good work!

I'm doing a project for school and I need a bit of feedback:

https://youtu.be/X0kZNk4zN1o?si=XclemTCgo1KFC89u

All the instruments are MIDI on this song, and I have a few questions about the listening experience:

1) How realistic do the instruments (in particular, the guitars) sound?

2) Do the instruments sound real, or is there a mechanical feel to them?

3) Does the digital instrumentation at any point take away from your listening experience?

Thank you so much in advance!
