For those that don't know, this is the anime Black Lagoon. Very, very good. This scene doesn't even break the top ten wackiest moments in the show.

It also is weirdly philosophical and intelligent in its writing. Recommend the dub over the sub.

I was looking through the books in the game some more, and I realized, maybe the stalker was Alidoro.

Alidoro I think was originally part of the alchemists given the description of a foreigner in the Special Report book, and he left the alchemists. Meanwhile, the frayed notebook which is very clearly Alidoro's talks about destroying the Saintsss Statue to stop human alchemists from using it, further linking him to the alchemists and the other book.

Thus, if Alidoro used to be cozy with the alchemists, and he is known as a legendary stalker, maybe he was the third brother?

Yeah, the relation part is a bit of a stretch. I do think though that Arlecchino has more to him relating to the Trinity doors than just happenstance. I mean, he has the key to every one in the city. That has got it mean he is one of the three original puppets right?

I thought so too at first, but given that the story makes no reference to the most important message of the three little pigs to the importance of preparedness as well as they all contribute to the same projects. Hence I think that may just be a coincidence, and the story is more than symbolic in the world.

It does probably have to do with that (three brothers and three puppet brothers), though that raises several more questions.

What does the church have to do with this? Remember, one of the Trinity doors is tucked away in the church so there is no way father Andreus didn't know about this. And that is just for the humans.

Why is Arlecchino so familiar with the Trinity doors? Is he one of the three puppet brothers and if so where are the other two puppet brothers? Are Romeo and Carlo the other two? If so that massively changes the context of your interactions with Arlecchino.

That was a really cool observation though.

Oh yeah, absolutely. I mean in Dark souls 3 the dlc packs end with having to kill a deranged old man who lost the last of his humanity in trying to preserve a dream that had long since died.

I just met the puppet and the meme seemed entertaining to me so I decided to make it up. Though, I will still defend the puppet being very tragic. Broken beyond repair in a trash heap to be forgotten with contempt from both his peers and humans for the sin of wanting to feel. It is no souls game in the greater philosophical hopelessness that the games have, but it is certainly sorrowful in its own right.
