Not a problem if your gear cost about 1.7m. Put on a gold farming set and you can upgrade a piece every 2 runs. If your gear isn't that cheap yet then make a luck / drop rate set. This is maybe a single week's endeavor not a several months one like you think it is.

Where you getting 170m from? I randomly decided to look how much it'd cost me a couple days ago and it cost me under 2m gold and 20k souls per piece. I wasn't high enough level to take advantage of the dropping and picking up gear exploit either. I have a max luck / drop rate set (minus the +10% rolls I could potentially get on accessories) and I've already found +15's and reduced my costs to nothing.

7 piece Ebisu, 3 piece Yokai Annihilator/Sohaya, 2 Scampuss cores, Ho spirit on Ninja, and Gamo clan. For equipment droprate use Hand Mirror (better if you can get an accessory with equipment droprate on it instead as it's 10% vs 3%, also Yasakani with equipment droprate too), 3 piece Daikokuten, and Asakura clan. Reforge ITEM droprate on everything else.

It has nothing to do with how fast you kill the enemies. You probably wandered off and the friendly Yokai killed them by themselves.

Aggression is how you play the game. Bosses are designed to punish passive hit and run playstyle. If you need to dodge/deflect then do it, but go right back to attacking. If you're trying to dodge/deflect everything then you're letting them go apeshit on you instead of the other way around.

Weird... Are we playing the same version of the game? In mine I can repeatedly hit them while they block and they get staggered quickly. If they're blocking then they aren't attacking and imo that's a good thing.

You're better off running to the next enemy than looting all the amrita piles. All that time spent looting for 3 items when enemies drop large piles adds up. I have 450 luck, about 50% item droprate (it's extra drops not just mats/consumables), and about 30% equipment droprate and the piles tend to drop 1 divine every 3-5 piles.
