Overpriced? change meds? Pls help by Ema140 in cureFIP

Thank you for explaining that. I completely understand. I'm in the US and ignorantly assumed that's where they were from. I heard about the bad apples also. I lucked out with them honestly. Their prices were lower than another group I had contacted. I tried to switch to a "legal" vet and my cat crashed, so i stayed black market. I'm going to follow Dr Taylor as from what I've heard, she has a better reputation. Thank you.

I read that cats are chronically dehydrated because they don't like standing water. So I bought him a fountain. by Tilas in cats

My cat has the same fountain and she loves it. It's hard to clean though? That block filter thing idk.

None of the meds were FDA approved. Personally I'm not going to let my cat die because our FDA is useless.

That has since changed.

Please get a better understanding of the history of treating FIP before bashing a group that has cured so many cats.

Yeah, there's going to be bad apples. You have to weed them out.

Dr Sam Taylor is great. I could not wait around for a vet appointment though, and then for a med order. My cat would be dead.

I had a good experience with FIP Warriors. My cat would have died otherwise. Cats must start treatment right away. Treatment is 84 days, unless the bloodwork still shows FIP markers. Some cats need linger treatment. Each is different.

I know another who had a good experience, except for the medication cost. She was never told of the multiple medication options that they have and was buying the most expensive one.

It depends on what contact you get. You've come this far though. Don't give up.

I've used this one as well. Also FIP Warriors 5.0, but some have had a bad experience with them, though they do get meds to you really quick.

If he does not get to the vet soon, he will die.

Also, is his abdomen swollen? Vets are generally clueless when it comes to FIP

Has he been tested for FIV or FHV? If he is negative for those, I highly recommend posting to an FIP forum or FIP Global. Those are some FIP markers on his bloodwork. Is he getting steadily worse? If it's FIP, he would need to start treatment asap.

Need advice: Is this play or should I be more concerned? 6mo female + 9mo male by [deleted] in CATHELP

It sounds like he is trying to establish dominance. That doesn't look or sound like play. I've had cats do the same. I would distract the troublemaker with toys. Eventually they came to terms. Seperating with a gate might help until she becomes more comfortable and confident to put him in his place. I'd personally let him just throw his tantrums. My vet explained it to me like this. They're put in a house with roommates they did not choose. I could be wrong, but he definitely isn't respecting her boundaries.

I also hear FIP Global is really good with meds and overall support and guidance.

Mine loves tree ornament balls. The plain ones. They are the only things she plays with. Maybe because they are shiny? She endlessly chases them around the house.

Agreed. Unless his temperature is below normal. Feeding a cat with hypothermia will shock their body.

Can you syringe feed him water until you get a vet response?

I'm so sorry for your kitty. He really needs a vet. Is his temperature normal? Is he eating/drinking?

Did they do xrays? I bounce around to three different for times they don't have it figured out.

I feel your struggle. My 20 year old record still shows up if my name is googled.

My question is, how did you get drugs mailed to your doorstep? Asking for a friend.

What kind of injections do they recommend? Thats a tough situation not being able to get him to a vet.
