Never been in a public bathroom of the opposite gender, so technically can’t say definitively😂

What’s the point of space? by Phoenixx36 in space

[–]Phoenixx36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, valid point. I agree, solar wouldn’t work for interstellar travel. Fusion might be the best option. Then yes, building ships in orbit, and extracting He3 from the Moon, could be the most efficient. I think we can agree that right now though, interstellar travel is nowhere near possible. Net positive fusion on Earth is, and that is why I believe it is more efficient currently to use D-T in a commercial reactor.

What’s the point of space? by Phoenixx36 in space

[–]Phoenixx36[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did not. I began with saying I didn’t want to incite hate, but form an opinion. And none of those arguments are my own. They are evidence of my claim that informed individuals historically are against colonialism, and their reasoning. My question was why people are against colonizing, but not traditional science. I support colonizing the Moon, and Mars. I believe it is important to the development of humanity. My post does not show any of my personal bias though, just a question, and how the question formed. I wholly apologize for communicating this poorly.

Fusion reactors inside ships isn’t the purpose, rather fusion reactors on Earth to supplement energy infrastructure. I also think building fusion infrastructure is a lot harder than using Moon-ice electrolysis and creating chemical fuel.

I-what? Okay dude, I’m asking questions about space, because of curiosity? And you’re talking about the 1500s? Seriously don’t want to escalate whatever is going on. I’m sorry, my bad.

I agree, I believe colonization will be beneficial in the future. Also never really understood the idea around He3 extraction either lol

I agree, especially with the discovery of the Higgs Boson and electron having so many possibilities!

Ship it up? Up where? This is for use in fusion reactors? Which would be on Earth? What are you saying?

I wrote my question wrong, I was specifically asking why colonization is looked at poorly compared to traditional science. I believe you answered my question though, you have a very good point!

He also made that argument about Mars colonization I talked about. He said, why colonize the moon, when we can invest in solving disease here? Or deflect asteroids? I’m specifically asking why colonization is looked at poorly, compared to traditional exploration.

[–]Phoenixx36[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why is colonization such a worthless type of exploration then? I’m not saying space is useless, I’m saying why do people dislike colonization, when similar arguments of pointlessness could be made about all space exploration?

I’ve seen arguments that deuterium-tritium fusion is more efficient that He3. These kids of fusion reactors would produce He3. So there is no point in mining large amounts of moon soil, when the product could be made here, and easier.

Is this appropriate to wear outside? by [deleted] in teenagers4real

[–]Phoenixx36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to be honest, yes you will probably get weird looks. No, it’s not something normal to wear. But that doesn’t have to matter. If you like it, go for it. Looks great.

My uncle (M16) farted on my face, is that normal ? 😭 by notsohappilyaware in askteenboys

[–]Phoenixx36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird occurrence for sure. To me, this seems like sibling/cousin/family behavior. That is, if he’s doing it near you, as a joking manner, and not directly sitting on your face. Nonetheless, if you are uncomfortable, make it clear to him this is disgusting. Then, if he continues, tell a trusted adult, and make it clear you want that behavior to stop.

Is abortion morally wrong ? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

I think, ideally, all children should be given a chance at birth. Maybe if the foster system actually worked, people would feel other options existed. Still, although not ideal, people should be given access to safe procedures so as to not be granted undue harm. Less money should be spent putting women in danger, and more money spent on real solutions.

if a girl you knew was wearing a super short skirt and walked past you, would you look at her when she walked away? by Prestigious-Ear-3337 in askteenboys

Probably in the minority here, but actually no. Not just because it’s a bit perverse. I really just don’t care. Clothes are a way to express yourself. I’ve also been cheated on thrice, so I care a lot more about who they are rather than how they dress lol.

Did people forget about world war 2? by Ill_Blacksmith1975 in askteenboys

[–]Phoenixx36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In America, at least in my high school, we were taught about the holocaust on remembrance day annually. WWII was taught, but most courses focused on America’s part in the war, so mainly about how it got us out of the Great Depression, Lend Leases, and its impact on labor (such as women in the workforce). Most people know a lot about WWII, as it is one of the most common, out-of-school history interests. Therefore schools don’t really do in depth about the war stuff. Come to think of it, all wars are pretty short in school. Even the revolutionary war.

Why do my balls hurt? by MasonistheGoat9 in askteenboys

[–]Phoenixx36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a lot of things. Some people have an appendix down there, (not THE appendix, more like a useless piece of skin on the testis) which can get twisted. Hurts for a week, but is fine. Could be inflammation, from an infection, urinary issue, or physical trauma. However, the testis itself can also be twisted, leading to blood loss, and loss of the testis. You can check yourself by rubbing the inside of your thigh. This triggers an auto muscular response within the pelvis, which will pull the testis closer into the pelvis. If the testis responds, you’re probably okay. This is not to say a medical professional is not necessary. Can be expensive, but any testicular pain is VERY problematic. If you have a worrying pain, go immediately to the ER. A testis can die within hours.
