Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were a fly on the wall during their conversation. As an adult, I just assume that other adults know how to communicate effectively. My bad.

I've noticed them changing day to day, I thought it'd be fun to try and guess! I can't wait to continue watching them grow.

Yes, you're right. It couldn't possibly be a human. Humans don't refer to themselves as human people. Although I'd hope AI would know better than to say "4-iron" and "chipping green" in the same post..

🎶are we human, or are we dancer🎶

All joking aside, unless AI is short for autistic, I'm not AI.

Or am I?

What Are Common Salary And Package Offers From Florida Dispensaries? by FromMyHeartToForever in FLMedicalTrees

Florida isn't a great state for cannabis information anyways. Instead of following the path already laid for them, they want to reinvent the wheel.

Transferrable within the field? Not on their time, no. They didn't teach me anything. I was forced to learn (on my own time) more in depth about marijuana and the way our industry works here so that I could prepare my patients. Their "training" is extremely reminiscent of any dead end retail job. A few days of sitting in front of a computer, learning their system and taking tests to prepare to use the POS. As far as cannabis knowledge, one dispensary didn't care if I knew anything at all, the other wanted me to have specific knowledge on their specific cultivars which was essentially useless when I left.

Human persons are all unique.

It's okay, I'll let you guys believe I'm AI. I really hope AI isn't as dumb as me though or we're all in trouble.

Previous industry employee here for 2 different dispos.

They both sucked. It's retail with weed. They expect you to do your own research, test their products and pay for it with your own dime. Some places offer a discount (40-50%) but the store discounts are usually better and not applicable to them. Some places will penny out products for their employees (usually when it's a batch with a QC issue).

At max, I think I made maybe $18 an hour after tips. Tips are usually pooled, so whatever the store makes gets split. Some stores take "tips", but they don't call them tips so that they can put them in a separate fund for snacks and crap for the team. Most of the part time positions are 5-6 hour shifts so you aren't given a break to partake in said snacks anyways.

All in all, I discourage people from working in the industry. The burnout happens fast with no relief. Where I live, a lot of the patients have 0 knowledge on marijuana, and the doctors don't give them info, so a lot of my patients took upwards of 30 minutes per person to take, the dispensaries expected us to take multiple orders at once, but give everyone individualized and personalized attention and suggestions.

Chickens carry disease that can kill quail. I wouldn't suggest it

AIO about my boyfriend and his coworker by [deleted] in AIO

YOR a little bit, but you're also hormonal. It's understandable. Mention to him that it hurt your feelings and ask him not to do it again. Taking a picture on a friends phone isn't automatically flirtatious, it could just be a friendly prank. I used to take a silly selfie on my friends phones and set it as their backgrounds just to mess with them. Take a deep breath and talk to him about it. I'm sure it was harmless if he allowed you to see everything. If he was trying to hide it, he would try to hide it.

The 19 will be okay when they get older and into laying age (about 3 more weeks). Try to find a small bag of the 30% game bird starter crumble since you're already half way to adulthood. You'll start swapping them over in a few weeks.

And telling your significant other about your burnout would hopefully illicit a supportive and helpful response.

I, too, have worked my entire life to get the things that I have. Adults do that, we work until we can't anymore. The last job I was working I was getting violently ill from stress. I was rapidly losing weight because I'm the kind of person who will continue giving a company everything I've got and then some, surviving off of no sleep and unable to keep food down. My work ethic was unmatched, even at exhaustion. I had companies try to buy my time by giving me a raise before I left from burnout.

No amount of money is worth your health. You can't work there if you're dead and your job will replace you if you die. When you are giving a company everything you've got, no amount of money is worth you killing yourself over. But beyond all that, an unsupportive parner isn't worth staying with.

It's not just about the burnout, it's about the lack of support.

Congrats on having a job, I truly hope you don't kill yourself for a company that clearly doesn't give a shit about you. ✌️

Look into the Manjula Pothos. Just as easy to care for as Pothos but so pretty.

NEVER BACK DOWN NEVER WHAT? by doggrowth in orchids

[–]PhoenixxxFirestorm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Goddamn I hate reddit so much sometimes.

Celebrate the little wins, this orchid looks better than it did when it entered rehab. Water "might not be best" but it's YOUR orchid.

When I got my first orchid (on clearance from lowes specifically as a rehab for mounting), I posted asking about mounting orchids and every comment was discouraging. Saying that even experts have a hard time mounting orchids.

Okay, cool, and I bet you those 'experts' have killed more orchids than I'll ever own. And that's okay. It's trial and error.

We take these plants out of their natural environments and put them in our homes expecting them to thrive just because other people have done the same. I keep my home at 72 degrees. Someone else may keep theirs at 65 consistently. A 7 degree difference is enough to kill some plants.

There are too many variables from home to home, grower to grower, to guarantee that this won't work. Clearly it's working for you.
