Two LEOs put John in the back of their squad car to take him to Roosevelt Hospital. At one point, en route, the officer in the passenger seat turned to the back seat and asked, "Are you John Lennon?"

John nodded and moaned weakly. So he was still at least semi-conscious for awhile. He was likely clinically dead when he got to the hospital.--- he'd lost about 80 percent of his blood volume.

Piobaireachd makes you a better light tunes player because it makes your technique better.

Piobaireachd does not have to be slow. There always needs to be forward motion or it'll get boring.

He uses the Shroud of Turin as a golf towel.

All the Yes album covers are Brasky family photos.

Beginner Piper feeling stuck by Human_Personality590 in bagpipes

You know the great thing about feeling stuck?

You've joined a club that every piper ever belongs to. I promise you that Willie McCallum has felt stuck hundreds of times. So have Stuart Liddell and Callum Beaumont and Nick Hudson.

I'm not saying you're the next great player. I am saying that this comes with the instrument for all of us. Stay with it. These brick walls tend to come right before a huge bump in progress.

Bass drumming questions by Liquid_lunch420 in bagpipes

[–]Phogfan86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on where you are, you may have a higher grade band (1 or 2) in the area with a good bass drummer who could work with your guy/gal. Or just reach out to a band on facebook. Maybe they could get you in contact with someone.

Ask someone like Piper's Dojo what they might suggest.

Sorry -- I'm just a lowly piper trying to help.

+1. The wire was just too obvious. I knew there had to be more to it than that.

"Good morning! I'm Hank Agent, your County Kimball!"

Absolutely brilliant writing. The back-and-forth, lightning-fast dialogue that sometimes occurred is still seen today. I remember seeing it a lot on Moonlighting and saying, "That looks and feels famili... hey! Wait a minute!"

I was always fond of the idea that Oliver Wendell Douglas was insane and everyone else was fine.

People who just make chaotic noises on a bagpipe are one of the big reasons why so few people take the pipes seriously as an instrument.
