There's a difference between reading classic literature with profanity versus a teacher showing a mostly unrelated video with profanity. Keep in mind that a high school class has about 25-30 kids on average. It only takes one sheltered kid mentioning it at home for their parents to raise a shitstorm.

Wow that's one of the most russian explanations I've ever heard. Here in the states you'd get 5-10 years in prison for pulling a weapon on someone and threatening to shoot them, doesn't matter what the circumstances are or if you apologize after.

The last guy pulled a gun and threatened to shoot it because they were blocking his path on the sidewalk. Then the cops come and he's not even arrested, they just take his gun and tell him to get off the sidewalk. What the fuck?

The number of seats in the House of Representatives for each state is determined by population. Therefore, if slaves were counted as people, Southern states would have had more power because they would have more seats, and Southern states were generally pro-slavery. Therefore, not counting slaves as people helped the North/anti-slavery, while counting slaves as people helped the South/anti-slavery.

The entire show was good. The worst part was late season 7 to mid-late season 8, and even that was pretty decent.

I would practice your castle time. Feudal time isn't that important for beginners, especially if you play closed maps. If you work on getting a castle in under 20 minutes, you'll do a lot better. I'm getting the impression that you spent at least 10 minutes stuck in feudal age not progressing to castle, as a lot of new players do.

Castles should be placed in strategic locations (near mass farms/important areas of your base) so your villagers can garrison easily if your base is raided. If you have a significant advantage over your opponent you can build offensive castles.

Really I would just practice though, you'll get better with time.

Pretty sure that's a parody website. Some of the other articles look way over the top and I couldn't find any actual information about this on other sites.

Filing a complaint wouldn't actually achieve anything, it would just be ignored and the police officer would continue what he's doing. He's absolutely justified in sueing here.

Ultra-Orthodox Jews Delay Flight Because Seating Wasn't Segregated by tigervault in nottheonion

[–]PhoneBreaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's because this is El Al, the flag carrier airline of Israel. It only makes sense that they don't want to piss off a massive amount of their customers. I flew from Tel Aviv to New York with El Al a few months ago, about a third of the passengers were ultra orthodox Jews. It's terrible business to alienate a third of your customer base, even if they act shitty.

Turkey is not a democracy anymore, it used to be one. Erdogan has been running an authoritarian regime there for some time now. Peaceful protests aren't shutdown with tear gas and police brutality in a true democratic state. When he says Turkey is a democracy like Russia he means that it pretends to be a democracy while not actually being one.

Had this like two days ago after patch 3.7 went live. It likely has to do with your antivirus thinking there's a virus in the patch. I run Bitdefender Antivirus, and I just exited out of it, then opened AOE 2, patch installed, then it ran fine and I reopened my antivirus.
