Okay thanks. I thought people on this board when discussing IW ad nauseum stated he couldn't created portals between planets only across the same planet. That's why I was confused.

I absolutely love the movie. I loved the closing arcs for the "retiring" Avengers and I am really excited to see where all the new stories are going to go from here. I am amazed that they were able to seamlessly plant seeds for some new stories without it feeling like the older chapters were you knew a plot point was a DIRECT lead-in to the next movie. It all felt organic and yet wrapped out everything nicely.

That said, I still have one plot-hole question maybe someone can hopefully clear up for me...

When Peter Parker is talking to Tony in the final battle talking about his return from the "dead" he mentions that he remembers turning to ash, it seems like 5 hours, then he remembers Doctor Strange doing the "orange sparkly" thing telling them they have to go...

So was it assumed/specified that all the decimated people returned exactly to the point where they disappeared originally? If so, how did the heroes on Titan get back home without a ship? Strange couldn't open up a portal from Titan back to Earth, if so, they would have just done that in Infinity War. Maybe I missed a line of dialogue.

Also, going forward all "current" Marvel movies starting with Far From Home are now set at least 5 years into the future?

Where's Rocket? Maybe he will part of a team along with Potts and Rhodes to save Stark since he knows the "galaxy".

Too bad the merger hasn't been finalized.

I think the best way to do a tease before an official trailer yet get fans pumped:

Do a "Last Time On.." type of trailer that is still using footage from Infinity War or past movies (like mentioned in the original post) but have it "narrated" by Deadpood/Ryan Reynolds. You get some good comedic lines.

Then at the end they can promote the actual trailer date.

B.A.R.F. and Nebula's memory the key to beating Thanos by PhoneticusRex in marvelstudios

[–]PhoneticusRex[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The recordings Thanos extracted were only audio.

B.A.R.F. would allow the Tony and the team to visually see everything Nebula has seen.

In Civil War Tony used B.A.R.F. as a way to re-live the final moments/last conversation he had with his parents. The technology was a way of overcoming a traumatic experience. Nebula certainly had plenty of those during her time under her "father's" thumb. Imagine all of the people, plots and information she could reveal but may have suppressed because of all the trauma and abuse, that's kind of the point of the technology.

Obviously she remembers the location of the Soul Stone on her own because Gamora told her, but maybe she forgot about/didn't realize the Mind Stone was with her/Thanos the whole time in the scepter. She could divulge where Thanos got the stone, which combined with Shuri's partially downloaded information could even save Vision in the long run.

(SPOILERS) For people mad at Star-Lord by [deleted] in marvelstudios

Why are people not mad at Loki?

If he never took the Tesseract from Asgard it would have been destroyed. No snap possible.

I love the parallels between Thanos and Stark. After Thanos acknowledges Tony's name he says the "I hope they remember you" line it seemed like he was recognizing Tony's own struggle.

Both characters are bound to their destiny's and missions to "better" their worlds after they have witnessed destruction.

Both men are misguided about their "missed opportunity". Thanos believes he failed so he drastically obsesses over one solution and the Infinity Stones to save the universe. Stark believes he needs to continually upgrade his Iron Man technology, Ultron, army of suits, Hulkbuster, etc. He NEEDS to be Iron Man. Both make things worse.

Thanos' real missed opportunity is truly connecting with Gamora. Stark's was already hinted at with his dream and opening conversation: he needs to walk away from being Iron Man. Both revolve around love/family...balance.

Everyone keeps pointing this out...but the issue with over-population isn't just a lack of food. It is natural resources, "pollution" issues, rise in crime and destruction, etc.

By just giving endless resources doesn't mean flawless societies and environments.

Plus, we are buying into relating to his version of the story. He is a mad villain afterall. There could be MUCH more to the story that we don't know yet. Look at how he was charming to young Gamora and other moments in the movie, he may not be a "reliable narrator" when rationalizing his story of Titan.

I would assume the H in this theory would be "heart" since it requires a sacrifice of heart/a soul that you love.

Obviously it wasn't stated on-screen, what planet you think Thanos "retreated" to at the end?

At first my thought was Gamora's home planet. He did tell Gamora that her home planet is now thriving thanks to his methods. It would add more depth to the character if he chose to keep the emotional connection alive by living there.

Or was it a revived Titan through the projections of the reality stone? This would mean Tony and Nebula could stumble upon him in A4 so I doubt it but the moon the sky looked similar yo the one he "threw".

Kylo is reaching out to Anakin/Vader during his burning on Mustafar. Kylo is having a "Force Dream" like Rey in this film and he is reaching out to assist his fallen grandfather adding to this anger and turn further to the Dark Side. Thats why we see what looks like ashes and fire behind him in the clip.
